Pokémon GO’s Road to Unova event ran from February 24 to March 1, 2025, and has ended. It led into the free Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global event on March 1–2, 2025. This guide records the Pokémon, raids, Eggs and offers announced for Road to Unova; its dates, bonuses and ticket offers are historical, not available now.
When was Road to Unova?
The event was scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. It served as a lead-in to Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, a free event scheduled for March 1 and 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. These dates and event mechanics are from Niantic’s official announcement.
Which Pokémon appeared in the wild and in Eggs?
Wild encounters
The featured wild starters were Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott. Their middle evolutions—Servine, Pignite and Dewott—could also appear.
2 km Eggs
The announced 2 km Egg pool included Roggenrola, Timburr, Karrablast, Shelmet and Larvesta. Eggs placed in Incubators during Road to Unova received half hatch distance. The bonus applied to Eggs incubated during the event; it is not a current bonus.

What were the Road to Unova raid bosses?
Raid lineups changed by date. One-star raids featured Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott, while three-star raids featured Druddigon. The five-star schedule was:

The announcement scheduled a five-star Raid Hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time on each date in that rotation. These are the event’s advertised lineups and timing, not a current raid schedule.

Special Backgrounds and raid moves
A successful catch after participating in a five-star raid could award a Special Background. The announcement explicitly excluded Pokémon earned from Timed Research: those encounters would not have Special Backgrounds. It also listed the attacks in the table above as featured moves. Move power depends on battle mode, so consult the announcement’s mode-specific values rather than treating a single value as universal.

Free Tour Pass and Tour Pass Deluxe
The free Tour Pass was a limited-time progression track: players earned Tour Points by completing Pass Tasks, ranked up and received rewards and event bonuses. Tour Pass Deluxe was a paid upgrade that offered faster progression and a Victini encounter. The announcement also described a Lucky Trinket as a high-tier Tour Pass reward.

Shiny Meloetta Masterwork Research
A separate ticket for Masterwork Research leading to Shiny Meloetta was offered globally for US$4.99 or a local pricing equivalent, plus applicable taxes and fees. Its sale window ran from February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time. The announcement said Masterwork Research does not expire, so ticket holders could complete it at their own pace; the ticket offer itself has ended.

What Remote Raid Pass limits were announced?
The announcement listed a Remote Raid Pass limit of 20 for February 24–28, 2025, and no limit for March 1–2, 2025. Those were historical event mechanics and do not describe the current Remote Raid Pass limit.
