Pokémon GO Wild Area 2025 had two formats: a ticketed, citywide event in Nagasaki on November 7–9, and a separate Global event on November 15–16. Nagasaki’s official gameplay hours were 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. JST on an attendee’s ticketed day; its two rotating habitats were Lurking Dark Hour and Fanciful Fairy Hour. The Global event instead offered a Dark-or-Fairy research choice and matching-type rewards.
What were the Pokémon GO Wild Area 2025 hours?
The in-person event ran in Nagasaki, Japan, November 7–9, 2025. Niantic set ticketed gameplay hours at 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. JST, and gameplay was exclusive to ticket holders. The three-day event window did not mean a ticket holder had three full days of event gameplay: ticket benefits applied on the attendee’s ticketed day. See the official Nagasaki gameplay page for the event details.
The Global event followed on November 15–16, 2025. It was a separate worldwide event, not an extension of Nagasaki’s citywide ticketed gameplay. Niantic’s Global event announcement describes its research path and rewards; it does not establish that all Global play required a ticket.
How did Nagasaki’s habitat schedule rotate?
The official page confirms the order of the two habitat hours, but its accessible text does not show a complete schedule table. Pokémon GO Hub’s secondary schedule lists the following rotation for both event days. Its final listed hour conflicts with Niantic’s 5:00 p.m. JST event end, so treat the 5:00–6:00 p.m. entry as unverified for Nagasaki ticketed gameplay.

From midnight through 11:59 p.m. local time on event days, ticket holders could make up to six Special Trades at half Stardust cost. The official page also listed add-ons and research opportunities. Timed Research had event-related deadlines, so those rewards should not be mistaken for ongoing rewards after the event.
Other Nagasaki event features
The event introduced Gigantamax Grimmsnarl in six-star Max Battles and the global Pokémon GO debuts of Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl. Shadow Darkrai and Shadow Cresselia appeared in Shadow Raids. Pokémon caught after successful raids or Max Battles could receive a Nagasaki Location Background.
Rank #4

- 5 Pack No Show Socks
- Assorted Pokemon prints
Niantic also announced a stamp rally at landmarks around the city, a preview event map, and a Shiny Unown K encounter through Incense for Nagasaki ticket holders. Because gameplay took place across Nagasaki, the event was not limited to one park. During event hours, ticket holders could also receive hourly Supply Balloons containing GO Safari Balls.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How was the Global event different?
The Global event used a branching Special Research choice rather than Nagasaki’s citywide habitat rotation. Trainers chose Dark Detective or Fairy Fanatic. After earning the corresponding medal, Trainers at level 31 or higher received one additional Candy XL for catching a matching-type mighty Pokémon, plus 1,000 Stardust per matching catch. These rewards ended with the Global event at 6:00 p.m. local time on November 16, 2025. Nagasaki ticket holders could earn both type-themed badges through event Special Research.
The announcement also included historical Global promotions: a ticket web-store avatar item and a free GO Pass shirt reward. They were event offers, not current promotions.
Planning for an event day
Nagasaki’s long, citywide play window meant attendees were likely to spend substantial time moving around while using a phone. A portable power bank may be useful for that kind of day, but it was not an event requirement. Niantic’s advisory was: “Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO.”
