For an alternate set of area maps and written directions, see iMore’s Wisp locations guide. Locations are described by landmarks and map markers rather than a uniform official coordinate system, so match the guide’s region and local-area labels to the in-game map.
Start Request 22 and make Wisps easier to spot
Request 22 is called “Eerie Apparitions in the Night.” According to iMore’s quest guide, it becomes available after you calm Kleavor in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Speak to Vessa in Jubilife Village, near the river and Pokémon Pasture, to begin.
#1 Best Overall
- Action meets RPG in this new take on the Pokémon series
- Study Pokémon behaviors, sneak up on them, and toss a well-aimed Poké Ball to catch them
- Unleash moves in the speedy agile style or the powerful strong style in battles
- Travel to the Hisui region—the Sinnoh of old—and build the region’s first Pokédex
- Learn about the Mythical Pokémon Arceus, the key to this mysterious tale
- At a base camp, rest until night before searching an expedition area. Wisps are purple flames and are significantly easier to see at night, according to Bulbapedia.
- Follow the selected region’s numbered map and check each marker against its written landmark directions. Pay close attention to entries that point to unusual terrain, such as cliffs, islands, caves, or settlements.
- Touch a Wisp to collect it. Bulbapedia notes that it is gathered into the Odd Keystone and that the game indicates how many remain in the current area.
- Return to Vessa in Jubilife Village if you need to identify which area still has missing Wisps.
What the Wisp milestones unlock
iMore’s reward list gives these Request 22 milestones:

| 20 | Seed of Mastery |
| 30 | Dusk Stone |
| 40 | Exp. Candy L |
| 50 | Linking Cord |
| 60 | 5 Grit Pebbles |
| 70 | Reaper Cloth |
| 80 | 3 Seeds of Mastery |
| 90 | 2 Exp. Candies XL |
| 100 | 3 Grit Rocks |
| 107 | Unlocks the Spiritomb encounter |
Finding the last Wisp
First ask Vessa which area still has a remaining Wisp, then revisit that region at night and work through only its numbered markers. Use the map’s local-area labels and directions to distinguish nearby landmarks; check caves, islands, and elevated terrain when a marker indicates an access route or unusual placement. The guides provide map markers and descriptions, not a single coordinate system, so follow the location description together with the map rather than relying on a coordinate guess.
