When did Mega Dimension release?
The DLC’s release date was Wednesday, December 10, 2025. The official Pokémon Legends: Z-A announcement published November 6 said it was “slated for release” that day. The Pokémon Company International then confirmed on December 10 that the adventure had begun in its launch-day announcement.

That date is in the past. The announcements establish the calendar day, but not an exact time when the DLC became available.
What time did the DLC unlock?
No universal launch time or region-by-region schedule is stated in the official sources cited here. They confirm December 10, 2025, but do not establish whether access began at midnight, at a particular hour, or simultaneously across regions. There is therefore no official exact start time to convert between time zones.

Why 6:00 a.m. PST is not the DLC start time
The 6:00 a.m. PST time belongs to a separate US Charizard Mystery Gift promotion. Its official promotion page says the gift period started Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at that time. It does not identify when Mega Dimension unlocked.
What does Mega Dimension add?
Mega Dimension adds a story set after the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Mysterious distortions appear in Lumiose City, and Hoopa can turn them into portals leading to Hyperspace Lumiose. The official announcement describes Pokémon in these areas as having hyperspace levels, which can push their total levels beyond the usual level-100 limit. The launch-day article also points to new and familiar Pokémon, including new Mega-Evolved Pokémon.

What is the upcoming physical bundle?
For players considering a physical package with the base game and DLC together, The Pokémon Company International announced a Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle for Thursday, October 29, 2026. The September 30, 2026 bundle announcement says the game and DLC are included on one game card. This is a future release date as of October 8, 2026; the announcement does not establish current price or retailer availability.
The bundle can also be played on Nintendo Switch, but the announcement specifies that Nintendo Switch 2-specific features and content are not included when it is played on the original Switch.
