The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have officially revealed Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, Mega Greninja, Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, and—later—Mega Garchomp Z. The paid Mega Dimension DLC story launched on December 10, 2025, and requires the base game and completion of its main story.
Which new Mega Evolutions are confirmed?
The Pokémon Company’s September 12, 2025 announcement revealed five new Mega Evolutions: Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, Mega Greninja, Mega Raichu X, and Mega Raichu Y. The three Kalos starter evolutions—Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja—were identified alongside the two Raichu forms. The Pokémon Company’s announcement is the official confirmation for these reveals.

A later official update added Mega Garchomp Z to the confirmed list. The February 27, 2026 update says players must complete at least one hyperspace adventure in the DLC to access the special distortion where this encounter becomes available.
Are the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution leaks real?
Some claims made in leak coverage match official announcements, but that is not evidence that an entire rumored roster is genuine. For example, a November 2025 video described “16 NEW DLC Mega Evolutions” as leaks and rumors. That establishes that the phrase circulated; it does not verify 16 new forms or confirm any names beyond those officially announced.

Use official announcements as the confirmation standard. The named Pokémon above have been confirmed by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo; other leak claims should remain rumors unless an official source names them. No authoritative figure establishes how often leaks about the game are accurate.
What does Mega Dimension add, and when did it arrive?
Mega Dimension is paid story DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Its story content launched December 10, 2025. Nintendo describes an adventure in Hyperspace Lumiose featuring Hoopa and Ansha, with Pokémon that can exceed the usual level 100 limit and special donuts that have effects in hyperspace. What do you need to play the DLC?
You need Pokémon Legends: Z-A on the system where the DLC is loaded. Nintendo says Mega Dimension is available through the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and is compatible with both the original game and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
