Which Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle is coming?
The newer announcement is for a physical software bundle, not a Switch 2 hardware package. The Pokémon Company says Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the paid Mega Dimension DLC will be together on one game card, with a scheduled release date of October 29, 2026. The announcement describes the package as a physical version for Nintendo Switch 2. The Pokémon Company’s announcement does not say that a console is included.

The combined game-and-DLC package is intended to provide the same content as buying the Switch 2 Edition and the DLC separately. If you already own the Switch 2 Edition, buy Mega Dimension separately rather than purchasing the combined package.
What happened to the Switch 2 console bundle?
Nintendo of America announced a console bundle on July 22, 2025, with a release date of October 16, 2025. It included a Nintendo Switch 2 system and a full digital download of Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Nintendo’s announcement listed a US suggested retail price of $499.99 and said availability would be limited, while supplies lasted. Those are announcement-time details, not confirmation of current price or stock. Nintendo of America’s announcement has the original offer details.

For Australia, Nintendo’s bundle page lists the console, Joy-Con 2 controllers and straps, dock, grip, AC adapter, Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, information leaflet, and a game download code. Nintendo Australia calls it limited-run production. Packaging and availability can differ by territory, so check the local Nintendo or retailer listing rather than assuming the Australian contents apply elsewhere. What does Mega Dimension add, and what do you need to play it?
Mega Dimension is paid additional story content that follows completion of the main story. Nintendo Support says the DLC works with both Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the Switch 2 Edition, provided a copy of the base game is on the system. The Switch 2 Edition upgrade improves performance, resolution, and frame rates, according to Nintendo Support.
The Pokémon Company also lists a serial-code bonus of 100 Ultra Balls with the 2026 combined package. Claiming it requires an internet connection and a Nintendo Account, but not paid Nintendo Switch Online; the announcement says players must play for approximately one hour before Mystery Gift becomes available. Check whether the offer applies in your territory before counting on it.
