When did Pokémon Pokopia release?
Nintendo says Pokémon Pokopia launched worldwide on March 5, 2026. That date supersedes the earlier announcement that the game was planned for release in 2026. Nintendo’s launch announcement confirms the worldwide release.
What kind of game is Pokémon Pokopia?
Nintendo describes Pokémon Pokopia as a slow-paced life simulation starring a Ditto transformed to look human. Players gather materials, craft items, make a home and build an environment for Pokémon friends. The official Pokémon page also describes gardening, creating habitats, and inviting Pokémon and friends to visit: Pokémon Pokopia.
Nintendo’s March 12, 2026 release called it “the first slow-paced life simulation game in the Pokémon franchise.” The same statement says the game was planned and co-developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc. and KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. Nintendo’s corporate release attributes the statement collectively to The Pokémon Company and Nintendo, not to a named individual.
