In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can find Gible in several Paldea locations, then evolve it into Gabite at level 24. Gabite evolves into Garchomp at level 48. You can also catch Gabite in the wild rather than raising a Gible.
Where to find Gible in Scarlet and Violet
Gible can be encountered in these Paldea locations, according to Nintendo Life’s Paldea Pokédex guide:
- South Province (Area Six)
- Alfornada Cavern
- West Province (Areas One and Two)
- Dalizapa Passage
The location guide does not provide encounter rates or a guaranteed route through each area, so it does not establish which spot is quickest to search.
How to get Gabite
Evolve Gible
Raise Gible to level 24 and it evolves into Gabite. If you already have a Gible, this is a direct way to obtain Gabite without searching for a separate wild encounter.

Catch a wild Gabite
Gabite also appears in the wild. Serebii’s Scarlet and Violet entry lists Alfornada Cavern, Dalizapa Passage, Glaseado Mountain, and North Province (Area Two) for Violet. For Scarlet, it lists fixed encounters in South Province (Area Six) and West Province (Area Two). The entry does not establish encounter odds or the levels of these encounters.
Gible and Gabite evolution levels
| Pokémon | Evolution | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Gible | Gabite | 24 |
| Gabite | Garchomp | 48 |
These evolution thresholds are listed in Nintendo Life’s Paldea Pokédex guide. The Pokémon Company’s official Pokédex identifies Gible as number 443; Gabite is number 444.

- Already have Gible: Level it to 24 to evolve it into Gabite.
- Looking for Gabite directly: Check the listed wild locations, using the version-specific Scarlet information for fixed encounters.
The available location listings do not compare spawn rates or prove that either option is faster. These locations cover the base-game Paldea encounters; detailed DLC locations are not established here.
