Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes had different dates for its digital launch, physical release and tournament legality. The physical expansion was recorded as released on January 30, 2026, but distribution delays affecting Elite Trainer Boxes and Booster Bundles pushed tournament use of its new cards to March 6. Pokémon TCG Live received the cards a day before the physical release. The available official announcements do not identify a separate booster set delayed alongside it.

Why the physical launch and tournament date differed
Pokémon’s February 11 FAQ says the expansion had officially released on January 30, while distribution delays affected Elite Trainer Boxes and Booster Bundles—the products it described as the main sources of cards for players. As a result, the new cards were not tournament-legal until March 6.
The legality update explains the timing policy for sets without sleeved booster packs, including Ascended Heroes: the two-week cadence is based on the release date of the expansion’s Elite Trainer Box or Booster Bundle, whichever comes first. The adjustment reflects that policy alongside the distribution delays; it does not mean the digital and physical releases shared a date.
Digital cards arrived before the physical expansion
Pokémon announced that Ascended Heroes would become available in Pokémon TCG Live on January 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC). The announcement said the cards could be played in all game modes. That is the digital availability date, not the physical expansion’s release date.

Was another booster set delayed?

They do not identify a separate booster set or give a revised schedule for one, so it would be inaccurate to name another delayed set on this evidence.
