Pokémon TCG: Journey Together is a Scarlet & Violet expansion built around Trainer’s Pokémon and the bond between each Pokémon and its Trainer. The Pokémon Company International announced more than 180 cards for the set and a March 28, 2025 release. This is a sourced set preview, not a hands-on report: no pack opening or gameplay testing is established here.
What is Pokémon TCG Journey Together?
Journey Together is an expansion in the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Scarlet & Violet series. Its central theme is Trainer’s Pokémon: Pokémon associated with named Trainers, presented as partners whose bond is part of their identity in battle. The Pokémon Company International frames that relationship as one of trust and guidance, saying, “With deep trust and steady guidance, Trainers help bring out the best in their Pokémon.”
The theme is reflected in the set’s headline cards and the announced focus on Trainer’s Pokémon, rather than being a claim that the cards have been independently evaluated for competitive strength.

These are announced minimum-threshold descriptions, not exact checklist totals. The official figures do not establish pull odds, how often any specific card appears in packs, or how the set performs in play.
Which Trainer’s Pokémon are featured?
The official overview highlights four examples: N’s Zoroark ex, Iono’s Bellibolt ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, and Hop’s Zacian ex. They show how the expansion pairs recognizable Trainers with Pokémon as the set’s defining presentation. The publisher describes the shared bond as empowering Trainers and Pokémon “to act as one in battle as they push their strength to the limit, including as Pokémon ex!” That is the company’s promotional framing, not a measured gameplay assessment.

When did Journey Together come out?
The Pokémon Company International lists March 28, 2025 as the expansion’s release date. Its launch materials described Build & Battle Boxes as available through local game store prerelease events, with broader availability when the expansion launched. The materials also pointed to Pokémon Center and retailers that sell Pokémon TCG products. Those are historical launch details and do not confirm present-day stock.
