What players reported
On October 29, 2025, a post in the Pokémon TCG Pocket community on Reddit said an app update had changed the cards shown on the loading screen and included Greninja EX. The post and its replies document a player-reported observation; they do not establish that the developers confirmed a leak or explain which card edition appeared.
What the official update announcement says
Pokémon’s September 24, 2026 announcement covers the Deluxe Pack: Mega, available September 30 through October 29, 2026, and previews other changes planned for late October. These include community decks, a new unlimited rental-deck approach and revised solo-battle progression. It does not mention Greninja EX or a change to the title screen. This 2026 announcement is separate from the 2025 player report.
What this means for players and collectors
Treat the loading-screen claim as a dated community report rather than a confirmed feature or official leak. The community post does not identify a particular physical Greninja ex card edition or establish whether one is currently available. A physical Pokémon TCG card is distinct from the digital image in Pocket.

Pokémon describes Pocket as a smartphone card-collecting game that is free to start, with some paid items, and says it is published by The Pokémon Company and developed by Creatures and DeNA on its official game website. Pokémon Support likewise says the game is free to start and offers optional in-app purchases in its gameplay FAQ.
