Pokémon TCG Pocket shows five cards from another player’s pack, shuffles them face down, and lets you choose one. Claims about rerolling, bots, or code changes are community allegations—not proof of a working method. Adding a friend does not guarantee their pack will appear, either.
Is there a Wonder Pick exploit?
No current, verified method establishes that players can force a particular Wonder Pick result. A post in the official Pokémon community forum alleges that some players tried account rerolling and code alteration to find desirable God Pack picks, but it does not demonstrate that either method works or remains possible. The forum post is an allegation, not an official confirmation. GamesRadar likewise discusses rumors and hearsay about tricks for obtaining a particular card, not a proven exploit: its Wonder Pick coverage.
The sources available do not establish the feature’s current technical implementation, whether any alleged method still works, or what enforcement consequences might apply. Timing, animations, rerolls, automation, and modified software should not be treated as reliable ways to control a pick.
How a normal Wonder Pick works
According to The Pokémon Company’s Wonder Pick guide, the feature draws from booster packs opened by friends and other players. It displays five cards face down after shuffling them, and you select one. The guide does not describe a skill-based way to identify a chosen card after the shuffle.

Wonder Pick uses Wonder Stamina. The guide, published November 25, 2024, says one unit regenerates every 12 hours; hourglasses and Poké Gold can reduce the wait, and picks containing rare cards cost more stamina. It also notes that some extremely rare cards cannot be obtained through Wonder Pick. Because these are game-feature details from that dated guide, check the current in-game information for any changes.
Can adding a friend guarantee their pack appears?
No. Pokémon Support says a friend’s pack result may appear after you add them, but not all pack-opening results appear in Wonder Pick. Friendship alone therefore does not guarantee that a particular pack will be selectable.

Does Sneak Peek reveal the card before you choose?
Only during a Sneak Peek campaign, and even then the preview is not guaranteed. Pokémon Support says you cannot know whether a Sneak Peek will occur until you confirm your selection: “Therefore, you are unable to know whether the Sneak Peek will occur until you press the ‘OK’ button.” See the official Sneak Peek guidance.
