Yes—Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Ranked Match Season B4b SP is scheduled to make climbing easier during its October 2026 run. Players can earn more rank points than usual, the win-streak bonus will extend to ten consecutive wins, and defeats will not cost rank points or cause a rank drop. These are announced rules for this event, not confirmed permanent changes to ranked mode. The announcement does not specify a new final-season reward table.
Is ranked mode getting easier?
For Season B4b SP, yes. The Pokémon TCG Pocket announcement describes three changes that make rank progression more forgiving: increased point gains, a longer win-streak bonus, and protection from losing points or rank after a defeat. The event is scheduled for mid-to-late October 2026; the rules should not be treated as permanent beyond that season unless Pokémon announces otherwise. The Pokémon Company International’s September 24, 2026 announcement does not provide exact point values or a multiplier.
More rank points than usual
Players can earn more rank points than usual during the event, but the announcement does not publish a point schedule or say how large the increase is. It is therefore not possible to calculate how many matches a particular player will need to reach a target rank from the announced information alone.
Win-streak bonus up to ten wins
The event expands the win-streak bonus to a maximum of ten consecutive wins. Pokémon Support’s standard ranked-mode FAQ says the usual bonus stops increasing after five consecutive wins, so the event raises that ceiling for B4b SP. Pokémon Support’s Gameplay FAQ, updated July 30, 2026, also notes that a tie resets win-streak points.

Do you lose rank points if you lose?
No. During Season B4b SP, a defeat will not reduce your rank points or make you drop a rank, regardless of your current rank. The official announcement states: “The win streak bonus has also been expanded to a maximum of ten consecutive wins, and you will not lose any rank points or drop down in rank when defeated, regardless of your rank.” This protection applies to defeats in the named event; it does not establish a general change to ranked matches outside it.
What are the new ranked rewards?
The announcement does not list new final-season rewards or confirm that the final reward table has been increased. Its reward-related improvements are more generous rank progression and a win-streak bonus that can continue through ten consecutive wins. Pokémon Support says, “The rewards you receive depend on your final season record.” Once results are announced, players can claim their final rewards from the Ranked Match screen, according to the FAQ.

When can you play, and what if ranked matches are unavailable?
Season B4b SP is announced for mid-to-late October 2026. Ranked matches may be unavailable after a season ends while results are being processed, according to Pokémon Support. The same FAQ says players must reach level 3 to unlock battles. A tie does not increase or decrease rank points, though it resets win-streak points.
