Some Hong Kong Carousell listings for the 2025 Pokémon Glory of the Rocket Team attaché case set have asked around HK$2,000, including one at HK$1,980. That is a Hong Kong-dollar asking price—not US$2,000 and not proof of a completed sale. The item also varies by listing: some offers include a Japanese booster box, while others are for the case alone.
Which Team Rocket attaché case is this?
The listings refer to the 2025 Japanese Scarlet & Violet Glory of the Rocket Team Attaché Case Set, associated with expansion SV10. StockX describes its version as a bundle containing one attaché case and one Japanese booster box; other listings may sell only the case. Check the exact contents before treating two prices as comparable. StockX’s product page lists April 18, 2025 as the release date and $102 as its retail-price baseline. Those are StockX’s fields, not a region-neutral retail price for every market.
What does “almost $2,000” mean?
Carousell Hong Kong search results retrieved in 2026 showed seller asks of HK$1,980, HK$2,000, HK$2,200, HK$2,400 and HK$2,600 for listings described as the Team Rocket attaché case or set. These are asking prices in Hong Kong dollars. The search results do not establish that any of those items sold at those amounts, and the listings may change or disappear. See the Carousell Hong Kong results.
So, the near-$2,000 figure is real as a listed ask in HKD, but the evidence does not show a verified HK$1,980 sale. Nor does it establish why a particular seller chose that price or that the cases generally command it.

How do other marketplace prices compare?
Prices from different platforms are not directly interchangeable: currency, fees, included contents, condition and whether an amount is an ask or a completed transaction all matter.
| Marketplace evidence | Displayed figure | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| StockX product page, retrieval snapshot in 2026 | $344 buy now; $345 last sale; $342 last-three-month average | StockX described the product as the attaché case plus one Japanese booster box. The buy-now figure included the marketplace fee. These are changeable marketplace figures, not a guaranteed price for another configuration or condition. StockX |
| PriceCharting sale-history entries dated 2026 | Examples around $230–$440 | Recorded eBay entries with varying listing descriptions and contents; this spread is not a like-for-like price range without checking each sale. PriceCharting |
| eBay sold result | US$125.99 | A sold attaché-case listing that explicitly excluded cards. The excerpt gave August 21 but not a year, so no year is assigned here. eBay result |
| Cardmarket, European marketplace | Euro asks and price trends; no single comparable figure established here | European marketplace values, not directly equivalent to U.S. completed sales or Hong Kong seller asks. Cardmarket |
The StockX snapshot illustrates why configuration matters: its $344 buy-now price includes a booster box and marketplace fee, while the eBay sold result at US$125.99 was for a case listing that said it did not include cards. Neither should be used as a direct proxy for the other.

How to judge a listing before buying
- Confirm the contents. Look for an explicit statement that the offer includes the case, a Japanese booster box, cards, or accessories. Do not infer contents from the product name or photograph alone.
- Match condition. Compare sealed or new items with similar condition, and check whether the listing describes damage, missing packaging or an opened product.
- Separate asks from sales. A seller’s asking price shows what they hope to receive. Look for completed transactions for the same configuration when estimating what buyers have paid.
- Keep currency and region attached to the number. HK$1,980 is not US$1,980. Compare Hong Kong, U.S. and European listings only after accounting for exchange rates and marketplace differences.
- Check the buyer’s total. Shipping and fees can change the amount paid. StockX’s displayed $344 buy-now figure included its marketplace fee; Carousell’s results displayed seller asks.
What the listings establish—and what they do not
The available marketplace evidence establishes that some Hong Kong sellers have advertised the Team Rocket attaché case or set near HK$2,000. It does not establish that those particular listings sold, that every listing contains the same bundle, or that HK$2,000 is the item’s market value. Resale prices and availability are volatile; verify the live listing, contents, condition and total cost before relying on a figure.
