Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The reported Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves starter evolutions are unverified. VICE reported on October 5, 2026, that the names and designs came from an anonymous 4chan post; the report says the post lacks trustworthy sourcing. The Pokémon Company has confirmed the three first partners, but its announcement does not confirm any of their evolutions.
What the alleged leak claims
According to VICE reporter Brent Koepp, an anonymous post lists two supposed evolutions for each starter, with purported Pokédex entries and images. The names, typings, descriptions, and images below are claims attributed to that post—not verified game information.
| Starter | Alleged middle evolution | Alleged final evolution | Claimed final-form details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pombon | Barklava | Bombulu | Fire/Fairy; described as friendly, with a large heated mane that shelters smaller Pokémon in winter. |
| Browt | Ruffstrum | Kasquake | Grass/Ground; said to use powerful headbutts and kicks and communicate with its herd through ground vibrations. |
| Gecqua | Flotokay | Cereguana | Water/Psychic; described as highly perceptive, with a forehead mark that legends say is a third eye. |
VICE says the post did not come from the TeraLeak files or the usual trusted Pokémon leakers. It originated on an anonymous board without major sourcing, and the report does not independently authenticate either the post or its supposed designs. Treat every name and detail in the table as rumor.
