Pokémon’s 30th-anniversary card product is planned for simultaneous worldwide release—the first Pokémon Card Game product to get that treatment. The exception is specific to this product: Pokémon says future releases will not all follow the same schedule, and local time zones and distribution can still mean different release timings.
What is changing for Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration?
Pokémon’s Japanese Pokémon Card Game site announced that the anniversary product would be the first Pokémon card product released simultaneously worldwide. The English product showcase identifies the expansion as Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration and lists September 16, 2026 as its launch date. That is the announced launch date, not a promise that every region or retailer made cards available at the same local hour.
The worldwide plan also has regional exceptions. Pokémon’s announcement says time-zone differences and distribution circumstances may create variation in release timing. In other words, “simultaneous” describes the publisher’s release plan; it does not guarantee identical availability for every buyer. Does this mean every future set will release worldwide at once?
No. Pokémon’s official announcement explicitly says that not all products going forward will be released simultaneously worldwide. The change is a milestone for the 30th-anniversary product, not a permanent schedule change for the entire TCG. The publisher says the Pokémon Card Game reaches its 30th anniversary in October 2026; that anniversary framing is the company’s own.
