The Pokimane gaming-session lot appeared in CDawgVA’s July 2024 charity auction for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). Contemporary reports showed bids around $30,000 to $32,200, but those were snapshots during the auction—not a verified final price. The viral $500,000 spike was reported as fake after organizer Connor Colquhoun clarified what happened.
How much did people bid to play games with Pokimane?
ClutchPoints reported on July 16, 2024, that the auction listing showed a bid of $32,200 at the time of publication. In a July 17 follow-up, the outlet reported that Colquhoun said the real bid was around $30,000 after a fake half-million-dollar bid appeared. These are dated, in-progress figures; neither report establishes the lot’s final winning amount.
Was the $500,000 bid real?
No. ClutchPoints’ July 17 follow-up reported that Colquhoun identified the $500,000 spike as fake. He criticized the stunt, saying, “It’s super cringe to fake money for charity.” The spike should not be treated as a genuine offer or a donation.
What was the auction, and where was the money going?
The gaming session was one of the experiences offered through the CDawgVA Charity Auction, an online and in-person fundraising event organized by streamer Connor Colquhoun, known as CDawgVA. IDF identifies itself as the beneficiary; the bid was not Pokimane’s personal income.

IDF reported in 2024 that Colquhoun had raised nearly $2.2 million for the foundation over the preceding two years through three cycle-a-thons and a charity auction. That is a combined total across multiple efforts, not the amount raised by Pokimane’s lot. IDF also said the fundraising supported travel scholarships for more than 400 attendees at its 2024 Primary Immunodeficiency Conference.
Was the gaming session completed, and what were its terms?
The available reporting and IDF pages reviewed do not establish the final winning bid, the session’s precise duration or terms, or whether the session was fulfilled. IDF links to a recording of the 2024 auction, but the official Tiltify listing no longer provides useful lot details to verify those points.

Is this a new Pokimane auction in 2026?
The headline has resurfaced in 2026, but the reported Pokimane lot belongs to the July 2024 auction. CDawgVA’s official 2026 announcement concerns Cyclethon 5, scheduled for April 5–19, 2026, with donations routed through Tiltify to IDF. It does not verify a new Pokimane auction.
