Predator: Hunting Grounds is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Both current-generation versions launched on October 1, 2024—not October 1, 2026. The game is an online asymmetric shooter in which one player hunts a four-person Fireteam.
When did Predator: Hunting Grounds come out on PS5 and Xbox?
The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launched on October 1, 2024. The date appears on the Xbox Store listing and the PlayStation Store listing. IllFonic’s developer update likewise describes the console release as having happened in 2024. October 1 is therefore a past release date, not an upcoming launch.

The game originally launched in 2020, according to IllFonic’s later update. That is separate from the 2024 arrival on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
What kind of game is it?
Predator: Hunting Grounds is an online multiplayer shooter built around an uneven hunt. One player takes the role of the Predator, using alien weapons and hunting equipment. Four other players form a human Fireteam, complete mission objectives, and try to escape. The official Xbox and PlayStation listings describe this core setup.

Can PS5, Xbox, and PC players play together?
IllFonic’s Patch Notes 3.00 say players receiving the ninth-generation update can play together across next-generation platforms, rather than being limited to one ecosystem. The notes list PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for the update, so the cross-platform support described there includes those platforms.
Online access is subject to platform-specific requirements. The PlayStation Store listing says online features require a PlayStation account. Check the store page and account or subscription requirements for your own region and platform before buying; the requirements should not be assumed to be identical across editions or consoles.
What did the ninth-generation update change?
IllFonic says the update brought graphics, texture, and lighting improvements, ray tracing, enhanced environmental visual effects, and refined movement and physics. Its patch notes also describe fixes and improvements to the interface, movement, and AI bots.

The Xbox Store listing advertises 4K Ultra HD and 60 fps+ capabilities. Those are storefront specifications, not independent performance tests, and they do not establish a PS5-versus-Xbox performance comparison.
Where can you buy it?
The official Xbox Store lists the Xbox game, editions, and add-ons. The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 game, digital editions, and add-on content. Check the listing for your region to confirm the current edition and what it includes; the PS5 listing is a digital storefront listing, not evidence of a physical disc edition.
