Sony’s October 2025 PlayStation Plus Monthly Games were Alan Wake 2 (PS5), Goat Simulator 3 (PS4, PS5) and Cocoon (PS4, PS5). Members could add them to their library from October 7 through November 3, 2025; that claim window has passed. “Free” meant included with an eligible PlayStation Plus membership during that period, not permanently free standalone games.
October 2025 Monthly Games
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the three Monthly Games on October 1, 2025. Sony’s descriptions below are publisher descriptions, not independent evaluations.

The games were available to add to a member’s library from Tuesday, October 7, through Monday, November 3, 2025. That was a limited claim period, separate from whether a game might later be available through another offer.

Separate Premium trial: Midnight Murder Club
Midnight Murder Club was not one of the three Monthly Games. Sony announced a separate PlayStation Plus Premium Game Trial beginning October 7, 2025. The trial allowed up to one hour of play. If a player purchased the full game, progress and trophies carried over.
October Game Catalog and Classics additions
Sony announced a separate Game Catalog update for Extra and Premium members, with the listed additions available beginning October 21, 2025. Premium also received a Classics Catalog addition. These catalog offers were distinct from the Monthly Games claim window.
