When could members claim the games?
Sony announced the lineup on July 31, 2024. The games became available to add to members’ libraries on August 6, and the final day to claim them was September 2, 2024, as confirmed in Sony’s September 2024 announcement. The August offer is now historical and cannot be claimed through that window.
What did “free” mean for this offer?
“Free” referred to a time-limited PlayStation Plus membership benefit: eligible members could add the games to their game libraries during the claim period. It did not mean the titles were permanently free or available at no cost to everyone. Sony also cautioned that monthly lineups can vary by region, so the local PlayStation Store was the reference for availability at the time.
