The code points to the PlayStation Plus content download, not to a documented NBA 2K23-specific fault. A June 2023 Reddit post describes encountering the code while trying to download NBA 2K23 through PS Plus, but that is an individual report, not confirmation of the cause or a universal workaround: the user’s post.
Try PlayStation’s troubleshooting steps
- Restart the PS4. Use the console’s power options to restart it, then retry the download.
- Restore licenses. On the PS4, go to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses and follow the on-screen prompts.
- Power-cycle the console. Turn the PS4 off, wait a few minutes, then turn it on again and try the download.
- Contact PlayStation Support if the error remains. This is PlayStation’s stated next step when the code-specific guidance does not resolve the download.
These steps come from PlayStation’s instructions for WS-46332-8. For PlayStation additional content generally, 2K also advises closing the game before restoring licenses; that is broader guidance, not a separate fix for this error: 2K’s license-restoration guidance.

If it happens only with NBA 2K23
If the PlayStation steps fail and the problem appears limited to NBA 2K23, contact PlayStation Support about the PS4 download or PlayStation Plus entitlement. For a game-specific request, 2K’s support form lists NBA 2K23 as a selectable game. The available official guidance does not establish that the game itself causes WS-46332-8 or document a distinct NBA 2K23 fix.
PlayStation Plus catalog availability can vary by region and date. The error-code guidance does not establish whether NBA 2K23 is currently included in any region’s catalog.
