What Sony’s 2025 Black Friday offer included
Sony’s official Black Friday announcement, published November 18, 2025, listed $100 USD off PS5 consoles, PS5 Digital Edition consoles and PS5 Pro consoles in the United States. The sale was advertised for a limited time starting November 21.
In Germany, Sony’s regional announcement listed different reductions: €100 off PS5 consoles, €150 off PS5 Digital Edition consoles and €100 off PS5 Pro consoles. Sony named MediaMarkt, Saturn, Amazon, Otto, Müller and Expert among participating retailers there. These were 2025 promotional terms, not current prices; Sony noted that offers could vary by region and retailer.
Are PS5 Black Friday deals confirmed for 2026?
No 2026 Black Friday offer is confirmed in Sony’s published announcements cited here. The confirmed promotion was for 2025. A prior discount does not establish whether Sony or retailers will repeat it, what models may be included, or how much they may cost. Check Sony’s local PlayStation promotion page and retailer listings when 2026 offers are announced.

How to judge a future PS5 deal
Sony’s recommended prices changed effective April 2, 2026. Its March 27, 2026 notice gives these new baselines:

These are Sony recommended retail prices, not guaranteed street prices. Retailer prices and availability can differ. For a useful comparison, check the same market and model, confirm whether a disc drive or bundle is included, and compare the offer’s final price with the applicable current recommended price. Also check the retailer, promotion dates and whether the advertised value is a direct price reduction, a bundle or a subscription offer.

What the PS5 Pro adds
Sony’s PS5 Pro announcement describes a 2TB solid-state drive and a DualSense wireless controller in the box. Sony claims 67% more compute units than the then-current PS5, 28% faster memory and up to 45% faster rendering. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent benchmark results; Sony also says Pro features are available only in selected games enhanced for the console and vary by game.
