Which anime apps can you use on PS5?
On a US PS5, PlayStation identifies Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu among the console’s entertainment services. That establishes that these apps are supported on the platform in that market; it does not guarantee that every app or catalog is offered in every country. Your PlayStation Store region, account country and the service’s local rights determine what you can install and watch.

Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll is the clearest first stop for anime because its PS5 app is designed around anime series, films and simulcast episodes. Crunchyroll’s support instructions provide two installation routes:
- Open the PlayStation Store on PS5, switch to the Media section, search for “Crunchyroll,” select the app and choose Download.
- Alternatively, from the PS5 home screen open Media Home, choose All Apps, find Crunchyroll and download it.
After installation, open the app and sign in or create an account. The app’s catalog, language tracks and access rules are determined by your country and membership status, not simply by owning a PS5.

Netflix and Hulu
Netflix and Hulu are also listed by PlayStation as PS5 entertainment services in the United States. They may be useful when a title is licensed outside an anime-only service, but their libraries are territory-specific and can change. A service appearing on the PS5 entertainment page means the app is supported there; it is not a promise that either requested series is included in your local plan.
Which PS5 apps have One Piece?
The official English-language One Piece franchise links page lists five anime viewing services:

Use that list as a set of services to check, not as a guarantee that all five carry the same episodes. Licensing can divide a long-running show by season, arc, film or language track. A search result for One Piece may therefore represent only selected episodes or a particular version of the series.

Yes, a PS5 can play Jujutsu Kaisen when a supported app in your region carries it. The unresolved part is which app and how much of the series your local catalog includes.
What the official Japanese listing says
The official Jujutsu Kaisen series site’s on-demand page lists Japanese subscription services for the seasons and film. Those services include Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video, along with several Japan-specific platforms. Because that page is explicitly for Japan, it cannot be used to claim that the same services, seasons or film are available in North America, Europe, Australia or any other market.
What Hulu’s Crunchyroll page says
Hulu promotes selected Crunchyroll titles and names Jujutsu Kaisen on its network page. “Selected” is important: the page does not prove that Hulu includes the complete series, every season, the film or both Japanese and dubbed versions. Check the title page inside your local Hulu app and read the season and episode list before treating it as a complete solution.

Which service has both shows?
The available official information does not establish one global service with complete catalogs for both One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen. The practical answer depends on your country, the date you check, and what “has” means for you: any episode, every released season, the film, a specific dub, or uninterrupted access to the full run.

- Confirm that the app appears in your country’s PlayStation Store or PS5 Media area.
- Search the exact title in the app while signed into the account you would use to watch.
- Open the season selector and count the listed seasons, arcs and episodes. Do not rely on a general search result or a poster alone.
- Open an episode’s audio and subtitle menu to verify Japanese audio, subtitles and any dub you need.
- Read the playback or plan notice. A title may require a paid tier, a separate channel, an add-on or a different billing region.
- Repeat the process for the second series, then compare the total cost and the number of subscriptions rather than assuming one app covers everything.
This check is more reliable than a worldwide “best service” list because rights can change without the PS5 hardware changing.
PS5 comparison checklist for anime viewers
When two or more apps appear to carry a title, compare the details that affect whether you can actually finish it:

The supplied official pages do not provide one country-by-country matrix for these five criteria. Record what your own app shows on the day you subscribe, especially if you are choosing a service for a long series.
How to install and find anime on PS5
Install Crunchyroll
- From the PS5 home screen, select Media or open the PlayStation Store.
- In the store, choose the Media section and search for Crunchyroll, or open Media Home and select All Apps.
- Choose the official Crunchyroll app and select Download.
- Launch it after installation, then sign in or create an account.
- Search separately for One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen. Open each season list and inspect audio, subtitles and plan information before pressing play.
Install another supported service
For Netflix, Hulu or another service offered in your market, use the same PS5 Media or All Apps route, search the service’s exact name, download the official app and sign in. The service—not the console—controls whether a title is included and which version is playable.

What the new PS5 anime hub changes
On October 8, 2026, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced an anime hub experience for PS5. The announcement describes a dedicated place to discover anime and anime-inspired games and to access the full Crunchyroll app. It quotes Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini describing the move as taking the companies’ partnership “one step further with an anime hub on PlayStation.”

The announcement concerns discovery and access. It does not establish universal rollout, a separate subscription, a new catalog entitlement or guaranteed access to either requested series. If the hub appears on your console, use it as a shortcut to discovery, then verify the actual title page and playback rights inside the service.
Troubleshooting missing episodes or apps
The app does not appear
Check the country assigned to your PlayStation account and search both the PlayStation Store’s Media section and Media Home > All Apps. A service listed on a US PlayStation page may not be offered in your market.
The title appears but episodes are missing
Open the season selector, check whether episodes are grouped under a different season or language version, and inspect the service’s plan notice. If the official page names the service but your app shows only selected episodes, the local license—not a PS5 fault—is the likely explanation.

Start an episode and open its audio and subtitle controls. Language tracks can differ by season and territory, so confirm the specific episode rather than assuming the entire series has the same options.
A show is listed but will not play
Verify that your subscription is active and that the title is included in that plan. A listing can represent a selected title, an add-on or a page that is not available under your billing region.
Best way to decide
Start with Crunchyroll on PS5 if your priority is an anime-centered app and it is available in your country. Then check One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen separately, season by season. Add Netflix, Hulu or another locally supported app only when its in-app listing supplies episodes, films or language options you cannot get from your first choice. This approach avoids paying for an assumed global catalog and makes the final decision match what your own PS5 can actually play.
