The reported PlayStation India Black Friday sale ran from November 21 to December 4, 2025, and has ended. Both PS5 models were reported at Rs 5,000 off: the Slim Disc Edition at Rs 49,990 and the Digital Edition at Rs 44,990. The advertised maximum reduction of Rs 10,000 applied to PlayStation VR2, not either console.
What were the reported PS5 Black Friday prices in India?
Moneycontrol reported these prices for the 2025 promotion. They are historical offer prices, not active deals or a statement of current retailer pricing.
| Model | Reported sale price | Reported earlier price | Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 Slim Disc Edition (CFI-2008A01X) | Rs 49,990 | Rs 54,990 | Rs 5,000 |
| PS5 Digital Edition (CFI-2008B01X) | Rs 44,990 | Rs 49,990 | Rs 5,000 |
These were product-offer figures reported by Moneycontrol, not market-wide statistics or independently audited prices. The report named Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Sony Center and other authorized PlayStation retailers as sale channels; it cautioned that prices and stock could vary by location. Why did the headline say “up to Rs 10,000”?
The maximum discount was reported for PlayStation VR2: Rs 34,999, reduced from Rs 44,999. It was not the discount on either PS5 console. The two consoles each had a reported Rs 5,000 reduction.

Which PS5 edition should you choose?
PS5 Slim Disc Edition
Choose the Disc Edition if you want to play Blu-ray Disc games as well as download games. Physical discs may suit a collection built around boxed games; check the specific game listing and your preferred format before buying.
PS5 Digital Edition
The Digital Edition has no disc drive and is intended for games bought and downloaded digitally. Compare the console’s price with the cost and availability of the digital games you expect to play, rather than assuming the lower console price alone makes it the better value.
