Sony’s new LIVE TV destination for PS5 is free and ad-supported, with more than 100 channels and two Crunchyroll anime channels. But Sony’s August 31, 2026 launch announcement did not name One Piece or Jujutsu Kaisen among its anime highlights, so fans should not assume either series is part of the new service’s lineup.
What is LIVE TV on PS5?
Announced by Sony Pictures Television on August 31, 2026, LIVE TV is an entertainment destination on PS5 that combines linear channels—programming that plays on a schedule—with on-demand movies and series. Sony described the launch offering as more than 100 channels, including two Crunchyroll anime channels created for LIVE TV. The service is free to watch with advertising. Sony’s launch announcement gives the stated service details.

Are One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen on the new PS5 service?
Sony did not mention either One Piece or Jujutsu Kaisen in its launch highlights. That means neither show is confirmed by the announcement as part of the new service’s launch lineup. It does not establish that they are absent from every on-demand title or future channel schedule: Sony’s release does not provide a complete, episode-level listing.

Sony did name My Hero Academia, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter and Sailor Moon, and highlighted a dedicated Black Clover channel. These are the anime examples the company actually identified; the announcement does not give enough detail to infer the full contents or rotation of either Crunchyroll channel.

How LIVE TV differs from the Crunchyroll app on PS5
PlayStation also lists a standalone Crunchyroll app among PS5 entertainment options. That app is separate from the two Crunchyroll channels made for LIVE TV: a channel schedule and on-demand programming service are different ways to watch, with different catalogs and availability questions. PlayStation says service availability varies by country. Its PS5 entertainment page lists the app and other entertainment options.
| Viewing route | What it offers | Cost and availability | What is confirmed about the two shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| LIVE TV on PS5 | Free, ad-supported linear channels plus on-demand programming; Sony announced two Crunchyroll anime channels for this destination. | Announced first for the United States, with Canada to follow. Sony also said it planned to expand to BRAVIA televisions later in 2026. | The launch announcement does not confirm One Piece or Jujutsu Kaisen. |
| Crunchyroll app on PS5 | A separate anime-streaming app listed by PlayStation. | Check the app’s current terms and regional availability; PlayStation notes that availability varies by country. | The cited PlayStation page does not establish either show’s current catalog availability. |
For either route, check the current listing available in your region before planning to watch a particular series. The sources cited here do not verify a live catalog entry for either title.

Where is LIVE TV available?
Sony announced availability for PS5 users in the United States at launch, with Canada to follow. It also said the service would expand to BRAVIA televisions later in 2026. No requirement for a remote was stated in Sony’s launch announcement. PlayStation’s Media Remote page describes the accessory.
