What Frosty Funland added

Penguin Snowmobile
The Penguin Snowmobile was a four-player amphibious vehicle that could fire snowballs. A hit could make the target slip, while passengers could assist with a cooperative speed boost. Its combination of capacity, water travel and crowd-control effects made it different from a conventional transport vehicle.
Salted Fish Rocket Launcher
This themed launcher fired freezing projectiles that created an icy surface. The effect restricted movement and prevented affected enemies from firing. It also included a flame-jet movement ability with ground, low-altitude and high-altitude states, and players could steer while using it.
Magic Ice Skates
Magic Ice Skates were a mobility item rather than a conventional weapon. They allowed players to leap and control their direction, making them useful for repositioning and navigating the winter-themed environment.

Winterland Kar98K
The Winterland Kar98K was available through crates and NPC interactions. PUBG MOBILE’s official event material described approximately 10% improvements to weapon-swap speed and shooting stability compared with the standard Kar98K. It also described a charged shot that took roughly 12 seconds to fully charge; the impact could trigger an ice explosion after approximately 2.5 seconds.

The same material listed an explosion radius of about 2–3 meters, roughly 10–20 damage and a slowing ice surface. These are publisher-stated event specifications, not independent balance-test results.
Swordfish Syringe, Strength Potion and NPC rewards
The Swordfish Syringe was described as a healing item usable by the player and teammates. Rare NPC interactions could provide items such as the Salted Fish Rocket Launcher and Strength Potion. Exact availability depended on the relevant map, mode, event phase and regional build.
PowNin
PowNin was promoted as a ninja-penguin ally or AI companion. Its exact behavior and availability should not be assumed to be identical in every region or mode.

Is Frosty Funland still available?
The original published availability period ended on January 5, 2026, at 20:59 UTC. Therefore, Frosty Funland should be treated as an expired event unless PUBG MOBILE announces a rerun. Installing an old 4.1 client is not a reliable way to restore the event: live-service games commonly require a current client and server version.
Do not mistake a historical APK archive for evidence that the event is currently playable.

Android: use the official route first
- Open the official PUBG MOBILE website.
- Use its download links to reach Google Play or the publisher’s official Android distribution route.
- Install the current listing and allow the game to download its additional resources.
The official website currently advertises a general APK download of approximately 1.4 GB. That is not a Version 4.1 installer and should not be described as the current Frosty Funland APK.

iPhone and iPad
APK files are Android application packages and cannot be installed on iOS or iPadOS. Apple users should use the official App Store listing.
What about APKMirror?
APKMirror’s Version 4.1.0 archive contains historical packages, including arm64-v8a and arm-v7a variants. Its listing identifies Android 5.0/API 21 as the minimum compatibility level for the archived package.
APKMirror is a third-party archive, not the publisher’s official download channel. Its archive information may report publisher signatures, but that does not make the host official. A historical APK may be obsolete, incompatible with current servers, unavailable in a particular region or unable to update cleanly.

“App not installed”
Common causes include an architecture mismatch, insufficient storage, an incompatible Android version, a corrupt download or a conflict with an existing installation signed by a different certificate. Some releases use split packages that require a compatible installer rather than one standalone APK.

Check whether the package is arm64-v8a or arm-v7a, verify the source and file information, and keep extra storage available for extraction and game resources. Prefer the official store build instead of forcing an old package.
“Download failed” or missing resources
The APK may contain only the base application. PUBG MOBILE can still need substantial in-game resource downloads. Use a stable Wi-Fi connection and allow the official client to obtain its resources. If the old client has been retired, no amount of reinstalling the 4.1 package will make it a supported current build.
The game opens but asks for an update
This is expected behavior for an obsolete live-service client. It means the installed version is not accepted by the current server, not that the APK installation necessarily failed.

Before uninstalling or changing editions
Confirm that your account is linked to an approved sign-in method before uninstalling the game. Local guest progress may not survive a reinstall. PUBG MOBILE Global, regional editions and BGMI are not interchangeable; install the edition intended for your country and account.
Safety warnings
Avoid modified APKs, “unlimited UC” packages, cheat clients, anti-ban tools, unofficial launchers and repacked files from unknown hosts. They can compromise accounts, contain malware, violate the game’s rules or expose payment and personal data. Do not bypass regional restrictions, anti-cheat systems or device-security controls.
