PUBG MOBILE LITE 0.22.0 is an older Android release, not a version confirmed as current by the game’s official site. The archive lists two APK variants, but the official installation instructions do not confirm that this exact build is still offered or that it requires a separate OBB file. Even if the APK installs, online play is not guaranteed: Tencent says older versions may become unusable.
What PUBG MOBILE LITE 0.22.0 is—and what to expect
PUBG MOBILE LITE is a separate Android game, not simply a smaller install of PUBG MOBILE. The official FAQ says the games do not share accounts and players of the Lite version cannot play with players of PUBG MOBILE. The official site describes a smaller map for 60 players and an installation pack of about 500 MB for devices with 1 GB RAM; those are publisher specifications, not guarantees for every device or build. PUBG MOBILE LITE official site
Version 0.22.0 is old. APKMirror’s listings date both variants to September 27, 2021, and its version listing includes a later 0.26.0 release. The official site page does not identify 0.22.0 as the current build, so do not treat it as the latest version. APKMirror 0.22.0 listing
Which 0.22.0 APK variant should you choose?
APKMirror lists two variants with different processor architectures and minimum Android versions. These are third-party archive details, not current compatibility assurances from the publisher.

Do you need an OBB file?
The official help page describes downloading and opening an APK but does not mention an OBB file. The available 0.22.0 archive listings establish APK variants, not a separate OBB requirement. Whether this exact build needs additional game data is therefore unverified. Do not assume you need an OBB bundle or move files into an Android/obb folder based on generic instructions; use only installation steps confirmed by the publisher for the build you have.
