It also adjusted the Mk12 and shotguns, changed parts of Sanhok, Erangel and Taego, and updated several settings and interface elements. The Arena dates below refer to its original 2025 service window, not its availability today.
What changed in PUBG Update 34.1?
KRAFTON’s official Patch Notes – Update 34.1, dated February 11, 2025, cover gameplay, maps, Ranked, settings, interface changes and bug fixes. The headline additions were the Arcade version of 1v1 Arena and a vehicle rebalance; weapon and map adjustments rounded out the gameplay changes.
- Arcade: 1v1 Arena moved beyond its Training Mode roots into a round-based Arcade mode.
- Vehicles: boosted maximum speed increased for many vehicles, initial acceleration rose slightly for most of those named, and four cars gained trunks.
- Weapons: the Mk12 was made less effective at range, while individual shotgun changes varied by model.
- Maps: terrain destruction came to three Sanhok locations, and gas stations on Erangel and Taego received Fuel Pump features.
How did 1v1 Arena work, and when was it available?
The Arcade mode put two players in a small battleground for a one-on-one match. Players chose their gear before each match, and the player with the most round wins when time ran out won. A win-streak display showed results on screen. The new “Ready Up” feature let both players signal that they were prepared, starting the match promptly once both had readied.
The initial service period was different by platform. These are the dates in the 2025 patch notes, not a statement of current availability:

Maintenance was scheduled for PC on February 12, 2025, from 00:00 to 08:30 UTC and for console on February 20, 2025, from 01:00 to 09:00 UTC; the patch notes said these times could change. Arena was also added to Custom Match, with Observer available and win streaks tracked separately. The Training Mode version remained, using the same win, draw and loss conditions.
What are the PUBG 34.1 vehicle changes?
The patch raised boosted maximum speed for two groups of vehicles. PUBG’s notes give approximate percentages, not exact speed values or measured lap times. They also describe initial acceleration increases qualitatively as slight.

The notes say the developers wanted older vehicles to better match PUBG’s faster gameplay tempo, narrow performance gaps and give players more varied options. That is the stated design intent, not independent evidence of the balance outcome. The patch notes’ “Dev’s comment” put it this way: “By increasing the speed of various vehicles, we aim to match the faster gameplay tempo.”
Which vehicles got trunks?
The Dacia, Mirado, Pony Coupe and Coupe RB gained the trunk system. Trunk capacity depends on the vehicle; the patch notes do not state individual capacities for these four additions. The Pillar Security Car’s capacity was reduced from 400 to 150.

Other vehicle handling and durability adjustments
- The Dacia gained slightly more friction on snow and ice.
- The Porter and Pillar Security Car became heavier.
- Buggy tire HP increased slightly, while Quad tire HP increased.
Which weapons changed in Update 34.1?
The weapon adjustments were not a uniform buff or nerf: the patch changed different statistics for different guns. The figures below are from the official Update 34.1 notes.

Shotgun world spawn rates were also adjusted to reduce variation across maps. The notes do not give a single global spawn-rate change, so this should not be read as every shotgun becoming more or less common everywhere.

What changed on Sanhok, Erangel and Taego?
Sanhok terrain
Terrain became destructible in Quarry, Ruins and Tambang, and terrain height was adjusted in Quarry and Ruins. These changes did not apply to Team Deathmatch or Intense Battle Royale.
Erangel and Taego gas stations
Gas station designs were revamped and Fuel Pump features were added. Objects were repositioned at Erangel stations. Taego gained new gas stations, while some existing stations became ruins.
What else did Update 34.1 adjust?
For players choosing effects settings below Ultra, the patch simplified effects options to support more stable performance. The Effects option also controlled Sanhok building destruction and Red Zone effects; the original effects remained exclusive to Ultra. The update also added a notice for expired time-limited items and made other interface adjustments.
