Punch A Bunch is a PC boxing game built around physics-based fights and controls you have to learn, rather than button-mashing or improving a boxer’s stats. It offers three championship tiers and local play options, but its Steam listing explicitly says it has no online multiplayer.
What kind of boxing game is Punch A Bunch?
Developed and published by Pontypants, Punch A Bunch was released on Steam for PC on January 20, 2023. Its fights use physics-based combat, so landing effective punches and defending yourself depend on learning the game’s distinctive controls. The Steam listing warns that button-mashing is not the way to play and that getting to grips with the controls takes practice and patience.
The game is presented as a challenge, not a casual, low-friction boxing experience. That makes it a more natural fit for players who enjoy practicing, adapting to opponents, and trying again to improve. This is a description of the game’s official positioning, not a claim based on independent hands-on testing.
How do progression and unlocks work?
Three championship tiers
Pontypants identifies three stages of championship progression: Amateur, Intermediate, and Pro. The Steam description frames the climb as a series of bouts against distinct opponents who become more challenging as you advance.

The developer says progression is about mastering the mechanics rather than leveling up a character or assigning attribute points. The Steam listing also advertises more than 100 unlockable cosmetic items earned through challenges; these are in-game cosmetics, not physical products.
Can you play Punch A Bunch with friends?
Steam lists shared/split-screen PvP and Remote Play Together, alongside single-player. These are the friend-play options described on the listing. It also explicitly says there is no online multiplayer, so do not expect an online matchmaking mode.
