Check your existing roles and elements first, then use guaranteed results and currently available free rewards before spending scarce pulls. Recommendations below use third-party guides updated for Global version 4.7 in September 2026 as context, not as a permanent or official ranking.
How to choose Constructs as a beginner or F2P player
Judge a Construct in the team you can actually field. A strong Attacker may be less useful to your account than a Tank or Amplifier that completes a team for the same element. Consider the role coverage, element synergy, acquisition path, resources needed to build the unit, and whether its rotation suits the content you play.
- Start with your roster: note which elements you can support and which team roles are missing.
- Prefer a usable team over a stand-alone tier label: a third-party guide describes mono-element role balance as an endgame foundation, but new accounts should adapt that idea to their available Constructs.
- Account for acquisition and investment: a theoretically powerful unit is not a practical F2P priority if obtaining or building it would leave the rest of the team incomplete.
LootBar’s guide, published April 30 and updated August 26, 2026, organizes recommendations by element and role and presents Fire and Physical teams as accessible starting points. That is one guide’s framing, not official advice or a guarantee those elements suit every account. Its newer-character and endgame discussion is not, by itself, a beginner priority list. Read LootBar’s PGR tier list.
What tier lists can—and cannot—tell you
Tier lists use different comparison methods. Pocket Gamer’s list, updated September 2, 2026 for version 4.7, groups a broad mix of Construct roles, elements, and release eras in S tier. LootBar compares characters by element and role. Their labels are not directly interchangeable, and neither list should be read as a ranking specifically designed for a fresh F2P account.

Use lists to identify possible candidates for a role or team you need, then check whether the unit is available on Global and whether you can obtain and build a complementary team. For example, Pocket Gamer describes Kamui: Tenebrion as a flexible Tank, Liv: Luminance as a healer, and Lee: Entropy as a Physical damage dealer. These are role examples from its version 4.7 coverage, not a claim that any one is the best first pick for every account. See Pocket Gamer’s version 4.7 tier list.
Should you use the S-rank selector right away?
A Beginner’s Guide search result reports a 40-pull first S-rank pity on Member Recruit and recommends waiting to use the base-game S-rank selector until after that result, so the pull can reveal which roster gap remains. It also describes the selector as limited to base-game S-rank Constructs. The underlying guide page could not be independently opened, so treat those details as unverified until you check the current Global client.

- Figure stands 9" tall
- Depicted in an adorable blue and white rabbit-themed bikini
- Includes a shower base for a magical summer scene
- Check the live Member Recruit banner and its pity wording in-game.
- If the current banner confirms the reported first-pity arrangement, decide whether to use it before choosing a selector Construct.
- After the result, compare your roster’s role and element gaps with the selector’s actual eligible list.
- Choose a Construct that improves a team you can build, rather than selecting by a tier label alone.
Selector eligibility and banner rules can change. Read the current in-game descriptions before committing pulls or a selector choice. Consult the Punishing: Gray Raven Wiki Beginner’s Guide, while treating its exact mechanics as subject to in-game confirmation.
Which banners should F2P players prioritize?
Do not assume every banner offers the same guarantee or pity carry-over. The available guide-result text distinguishes guaranteed debut banners from other banner types, but those details could not be independently verified. Before spending Black Cards, inspect the live banner’s guarantee, pity count, and carry-over rules in the Global client; base your decision on the displayed terms rather than a general banner recommendation.

- Check the guarantee and pity details for that exact banner before spending.
- Do not infer a pull budget or future guarantee from a third-party tier list; no verified F2P income rate or universal budget is established here.
Which free rewards should you check?
Pocket Gamer’s version 4.7 article identifies Bianca: Zero as a seven-day login reward. Login offers are time- and schedule-dependent, so confirm whether the reward is active in your client before planning around it. Its advice to save Black Cards for event summons is likewise version-dependent; use the current banner details to determine whether a summon fits your account.
More broadly, check the current in-game events and reward notices before spending resources. Free acquisition can change, and a reward only helps your plan if it is available to your account now.
