PC Gamer reported, “I finished Quarantine Zone’s campaign in under 12 hours,” in a review of the original game. That statement is context for the base campaign only. It is not a Miami Zero completion time, and it should not be used as a promise that the prequel takes less than, about, or more than 12 hours.

How to plan your first run
- Reserve enough uninterrupted time for a campaign session, but avoid scheduling around a specific hour count.
- Keep a written note of medicine projects and repair assignments if you want to understand how your choices affect later decisions.
- Do not rush survivor screening simply to shorten the run; the expansion’s new symptoms are part of its added workload.

What has not been verified
No cited official source explains whether Miami Zero imports an existing campaign, recognizes an Endless-mode profile, changes save formats, or requires a new run. Therefore, cross-save compatibility should be treated as unknown rather than assumed. A cloud icon or synchronized base-game file is not proof that a prequel campaign will read that file.
Safe preparation before installing
- Finish or pause the base-game session you care about and allow Steam Cloud synchronization to complete before changing installations.
