The “Ask Your Mom” quest in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check has six graffiti poems, which appear in a fixed order. Start at the wall outside the sleeping quarters, then follow this route: garage, laboratory fence, rear of your sleeping container, liquidation-area watchtower, and the Laboratory sign. The quest begins on Day 8, after the Day 7 bulletin-board notice.
How to start “Ask Your Mom” and follow the trail
Check the bulletin board for the notice on Day 7. The quest unlocks on Day 8. Interact with each poem to make the next one appear. Your in-game flashlight reveals red paint footprints pointing toward the next location, but the trail can be hard to follow; use the landmarks below if you lose it.

All six graffiti locations, in order
- Wall outside the sleeping quarters. Exit the sleeping shipping container and inspect the wall opposite its door. Interact with the poem to reveal the next one.
- Garage and storage area. Go through the garage and turn left at the crosswalk markings. Look beside or behind the portapotties in the left-hand area, on the nearby wall or wooden board.
- Storage unit beside the laboratory fence. Pass through the metal gate, turn right, and follow the fence. Inspect the nearby storage unit; guides describe it variously as a white storage unit or a yellow generator beside a white unit.
- Rear wall of your sleeping container. Return to the quarters and walk around to the back of your container.
- Top of the liquidation-area watchtower. Go straight to the watchtower and climb to its top. The poem is on the tower wall. Footprints may be misleading here, so use the tower as your landmark.
- Wall by the Laboratory sign. Find the final poem at or below the painted “Laboratory” sign. It appears after you have interacted with the first five.
What to do after finding the final poem
Once you have read all six, speak with Abe Crow, ask the scientist in storage about paint access, then use the in-game flashlight to scan survivors. Red paint on a survivor’s clothing identifies the vandal. Guides differ on where Abe Crow can be found—one places him in the residential block and another in the Storage Area—so check the current quest marker rather than relying on a single hub description.
Bribe or report the vandal?
The Quarantine Zone Wiki guide reports a $1,000 reward for accepting the bribe and $200 for reporting the vandal. It also says the choice does not affect the overall narrative or ending; PC Gamer likewise characterizes the long-term consequences as minor. These are guide-reported outcomes, not official patch notes, and game updates may change quest details or rewards.
