The reported route to the Queen Stoneback Crab is The Wolf’s Ballad at Redfox Trading Post, followed by The Queen’s Lake. That quest leads north to Stoneback Crab Wetlands, where entering the clearing’s center starts the cutscene. The fight is a climbing and weak-point encounter: use Turning Slash on the white diamond crystals, crouch to cling to the shell, charge and release a heavy attack to stab three exposed green weak spots, then destroy the brown pots for the second health bar.
This guide follows the detailed PowerPyx walkthrough dated April 14, 2026. It separates the reported route from conflicting descriptions of a coastal-cliff encounter, so you can tell which instructions belong to the Redfox Trading Post quest chain. The key distinction is simple: the white crystals are the shell-opening targets, while the three green spots revealed afterward are the actual stabbing weak points.

Where to find the Queen Stoneback Crab
PowerPyx’s April 14, 2026 walkthrough identifies the encounter as New Power #6, “Immense Beauty,” in Delesyia. The route begins at Redfox Trading Post, north of the City of Delesyia. You do not reach the boss by simply searching the wetlands first; the quest chain is the practical way to make the encounter appear.
Recommended Free Tools
- Go to Redfox Trading Post and accept or continue The Wolf’s Ballad.
- Complete The Wolf’s Ballad. Finishing it leads into The Queen’s Lake.
- Follow The Queen’s Lake toward Stoneback Crab Wetlands, north of Redfox Trading Post.
- Walk into the center of the clearing when the quest points you there. The walkthrough reports that entering this central area triggers the cutscene and starts the Queen Stoneback Crab fight.
The location name can look different depending on the map or companion tool. A fan-made companion app labels the broader area Redfox Forest, while PowerPyx uses Delesyia and Stoneback Crab Wetlands. Treat those as different levels of map labeling rather than proof that there are two separate Queen Stoneback Crab encounters. For navigation, the quest marker and the Stoneback Crab Wetlands route are the useful references.

Is the boss in Redfox Forest or Delesyia?
Both labels appear in independent descriptions, but they serve different practical purposes. Redfox Forest is the broader label reported by the companion app. Delesyia is the regional placement in PowerPyx’s walkthrough, and Stoneback Crab Wetlands is the specific destination used for the trigger. If a map search returns Redfox Forest, use it as a regional clue, then follow The Queen’s Lake marker to the wetlands rather than treating the two names as separate bosses.
What to do before entering the arena
The detailed walkthrough does not publish a recommended level, boss health value, time limit, special potion, or mandatory equipment. It also does not state the exact game version on which it was tested. Prepare normally for the quest, but do not assume that an unlisted level threshold or a particular item is required.
There is no reported need for a special controller, repair tool, replacement part, or other accessory. The encounter is defined by its quest trigger and back-mounted interactions, not by a separately documented gear check. If you own the game digitally or physically, that ownership choice does not change the reported boss sequence.
Because the guide displays controller glyphs, your on-screen prompts may not match its button icons if you play on another platform or have customized controls. The important actions are the named skill and verbs: Turning Slash, crouching to cling, charging and releasing a heavy attack, and pressing again to pull the knife free. Check your current binding for each action before blaming a missing glyph.
A useful control check
Before approaching the clearing, identify the current inputs for crouch, heavy attack, and the attack input used to remove the knife. You do not need to memorize a particular console button from a screenshot. You need to recognize the prompt that appears in your own layout and complete the actions in order. This is especially important during the weak-point interaction, where charging, releasing, and pulling the knife are separate steps.
Queen Stoneback Crab fight: the reported sequence
This is not described as a conventional fight in which you stand beneath the boss and drain its health with ordinary attacks. The walkthrough presents a two-bar encounter built around climbing onto the carapace, opening specific sections, and performing a close-range stab. Follow the phases in order.
Phase 1: climb onto the back
Your first objective is to get onto the crab’s back. The encounter’s reported mechanics only make sense once you are on the carapace: the white diamond crystals, the green weak spots, and the later pots are all back-mounted targets. If you remain on the ground and keep striking legs or the front shell, you are not following the sequence described by the detailed walkthrough.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteLook for a safe opportunity to mount the shell rather than treating the opening as a damage race. The walkthrough does not specify a separate climbing button or a required number of jumps, so use the movement and interaction prompts your game displays. Once you are on top, orient the camera so the crystal sections and the area immediately around them are visible.
Phase 1: break the white diamond crystals
Use Turning Slash against the white diamond-shaped crystal sections on the shell. Breaking these crystal sections is the opening step that exposes the actual targets. The guide does not give a number for crystal hits or a separate damage threshold, so concentrate on the visible white sections rather than trying to reproduce an exact hit count.

Do not confuse the crystals with the final weak points. They are the shell sections you must break to reveal the green targets. If your attacks appear to do little to the rest of the carapace, that is consistent with the reported design: the walkthrough directs you to the marked crystal pieces first.
Phase 1: expose and stab all three green weak spots
After the crystal sections are broken, green weak spots appear. The walkthrough reports three of them. For each one:

- Press crouch to cling to the shell while you are positioned over the target.
- Charge the heavy attack.
- Release the charged attack to drive the knife into the weak spot.
- Press the attack input again to pull the knife free.
- Repeat the process for the other two green spots.
The guide says that completing all three stabs depletes the first boss health bar. The pull-out input matters: a stab is not the whole interaction, and moving away immediately can leave the sequence incomplete. Use the prompt or your current heavy-attack binding if your platform shows different controller symbols.
Think of each green spot as a short interaction sequence, not a normal hitbox. Positioning over the spot, crouching to hold on, charging, releasing, and extracting the knife are all part of the reported action. If the first attempt does not register, reposition directly over the green area and repeat the complete sequence instead of abandoning the shell.
Phase 2: destroy the brown pots
Once the first bar is gone, the reported target changes. Attack the stack of brown pots on the crab’s back until the second health bar is depleted. Do not keep searching for another set of green spots after the phase transition; the walkthrough specifically directs you to the pots for the finish.
No published source in the inspected walkthroughs gives the pots’ hit count, a damage requirement, or a second weak-point pattern. Continue attacking the stack until the boss falls rather than assuming the first bar’s crystal-and-knife routine must be repeated. The report identifies the pots as the second-phase target but does not promise a fixed number of attacks.
Stuck at the crab boss? Use the sequence as a checklist
Player searches often describe being “stuck” or ask where the weak points are. The following checks stay within the mechanics reported for this route.
The cutscene does not start
- Confirm that The Wolf’s Ballad is complete and that The Queen’s Lake is the active follow-up.
- Use the quest direction to reach Stoneback Crab Wetlands north of Redfox Trading Post rather than relying only on a broad Redfox Forest label.
- Walk into the center of the clearing. The reported trigger is entering that central space, not approaching an edge of the wetlands.
- If you arrived before the follow-up quest was active, leave the area, verify the quest state, and return using the marker rather than assuming the boss failed to spawn.
You cannot see a weak point
The reported order is crystals first, green spots second. Get onto the back and use Turning Slash on the white diamond crystal sections. The green targets are described as exposed after those sections are broken; hitting random shell panels or attacking from the ground will not reproduce that order.
You reach a green spot but cannot stab it
- Make sure your character is positioned over the green spot, not beside it.
- Use crouch to cling to the shell before charging the heavy attack.
- Release the charged heavy attack to perform the stab, then press again to remove the knife.
- If the displayed button differs from a guide’s screenshot, verify your current bindings instead of assuming the mechanic is absent.
- Complete the pull-out step before moving to another spot; the reported sequence treats extraction as part of the interaction.
The first bar is empty but the boss is still alive
The walkthrough describes two health bars. After the three green spots have been stabbed, look for the brown pots on the back and attack that stack. The pots are the reported second-phase target.

You are following a different-looking arena guide
Do not combine instructions from separate encounter descriptions. A March 20, 2026 Crimson Desert HQ article describes a coastal-cliff arena, eye stalks, the underbelly, leg joints, and aerial plunge attacks. Those details do not match the Delesyia quest route or the crystal-and-pot sequence. The official Pearl Abyss notice confirms the boss’s identity and promotional appearance, but does not document current location or combat inputs. For the quest chain covered here, use the specific Stoneback Crab Wetlands walkthrough rather than mixing in the coastal-cliff tactics.

Queen Stoneback Crab rewards and quest completion
PowerPyx reports an Abyss Artifact after the encounter. It also says materials knocked off the “Oreback Crab” are sent to private storage and that the location is liberated. The walkthrough does not enumerate those materials, so no particular ore, gem, crafting component, quantity, or drop rate can be promised.
The reference to “Oreback Crab” appears in the reward description even though the encounter is presented as Queen Stoneback Crab. Treat it as the walkthrough’s wording for the materials outcome, not as evidence of a second boss or a separate fight.
The same guide advises completing the quest chain so Diederik returns to the Greymane camp. That is a quest-state outcome, separate from the boss’s immediate health-bar victory. If you leave before finishing the related objectives, the location or character state may not reflect the completed route described by the walkthrough.
What the reward report does not establish
There is no published drop table in the inspected accounts, and no source supplies a percentage chance, guaranteed material list, quantity, or average value for the Abyss Artifact. Do not plan an inventory or crafting route around a named gem or ore unless the game itself shows it after your fight. The reliable takeaway is the artifact report, private-storage handling for knocked-off materials, and liberation of the location.

| PowerPyx walkthrough | April 14, 2026 | Redfox Trading Post route, The Wolf’s Ballad → The Queen’s Lake, Stoneback Crab Wetlands trigger, crystal breaks, three green stabs, brown-pot finish, and reported rewards | Primary actionable guide for this article; exact tested game version is not stated |
| Pearl Abyss official notice | March 19, 2025 | Identifies the Queen Stoneback Crab as “a monster adorned with the rarest gems of Pywel” and confirms promotional boss-battle appearances | Authoritative for identity and promotional context, not current route or mechanics |
| Fan-made companion app | Last updated March 2026 | Uses the broader Redfox Forest label and mentions three vulnerable back-carapace points plus a jar | Lower-confidence corroboration that the back is important; its jar advice conflicts with the explicit pot sequence |

The practical choice is therefore the most location-specific, step-by-step account: activate the Redfox Trading Post quest chain, follow its marker to Stoneback Crab Wetlands, and perform the shell-crystal, green-spot, and brown-pot sequence. The conflicting guides do not provide a verified reason to replace that route.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is and is not established about this boss
No inspected source publishes a numerical boss-health total, drop rate, average completion time, or completion percentage. Avoid guides or videos that present those figures as universal unless they identify a specific game version and test conditions.
The official description’s gem imagery explains the boss’s visual design, while the later walkthrough supplies the practical interaction. Those are different kinds of evidence: one establishes who the monster is, and the other reports how the quest encounter works. Keeping them separate prevents promotional trailer context from being mistaken for a current gameplay instruction.

Queen Stoneback Crab quick reference
- Start: Complete The Wolf’s Ballad at Redfox Trading Post.
- Follow-up: Take The Queen’s Lake north toward Stoneback Crab Wetlands.
- Trigger: Enter the center of the clearing for the cutscene.
- Back phase: Climb onto the crab and use Turning Slash on the white diamond crystals.
- Weak points: Crouch to cling, charge and release a heavy attack on each of the three revealed green spots, then pull the knife free.
- Finish: Attack the brown pots for the second health bar.
- Afterward: Check for the reported Abyss Artifact and private-storage materials, then finish the quest chain so Diederik returns to Greymane camp.
- Outcome: The walkthrough reports location liberation; material names are not specified.
Following that order addresses the two questions that cause the most confusion: where the boss is triggered and where its weak points are. The weak points are not the initial crystal sections themselves; the crystals are the shell pieces that expose the three green stabbing targets.

The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Why can’t I damage the crab with normal attacks?
This route is reported as a climbing and weak-point encounter. Get onto the back, break the white crystal sections first, and complete the green-spot stab sequence instead of relying on ordinary attacks against the ground-level shell.
What do I attack after the first health bar?
Attack the stack of brown pots on the crab’s back. That is the reported target for the second health bar.
Is Redfox Forest a different boss location from Stoneback Crab Wetlands?
A fan-made companion app uses Redfox Forest as a broader label, while PowerPyx names Delesyia and Stoneback Crab Wetlands. Use the quest marker and wetlands route; the differing labels do not establish two separate encounters.
What reward does the Queen Stoneback Crab drop?
PowerPyx reports an Abyss Artifact. It also reports materials knocked off the crab being sent to private storage and the location being liberated, but it does not list the material names, quantities, or drop rates.
Do the controller buttons match every platform?
Not necessarily. The walkthrough displays controller glyphs, but customized bindings and other platforms may show different icons. Follow the action verbs—Turning Slash, crouch, charge and release heavy attack, then pull the knife free—and check your current controls.
Should I use the eye-stalk and aerial-plunge strategy from another guide?
Not for this documented quest route. A March 20, 2026 guide describes a different coastal-cliff encounter. Its eye, underbelly, leg-joint, and plunge advice conflicts with the Redfox Trading Post, crystal, green-spot, and pot sequence.
The Bottom Line
Follow The Wolf’s Ballad from Redfox Trading Post into The Queen’s Lake, enter the center of Stoneback Crab Wetlands, and climb onto the shell. Break the white crystals with Turning Slash, crouch and stab all three revealed green weak spots, then destroy the brown pots for the second bar. The reported rewards are an Abyss Artifact, private-storage materials, and location liberation; exact material names and drop rates are not established.
