Rainbow Six Siege Ban-Hour Display Issue Was Reported as a Visual Bug

A historical Siege.GG report said Ubisoft confirmed a ban-timer display issue after the High Calibre update. Here’s what that does—and does not—establish.

Siege.GG reported that Ubisoft confirmed a ban-timer display issue after the High Calibre update: the time shown in hours or days could be converted to minutes to read the timing described as accurate. That is an account of a historical report, not verified current guidance, and it does not establish that the underlying ban duration changed. The game’s name is spelled Siege, not “Seige.”

What the ban-hours visual bug meant

In its post-High Calibre report, Siege.GG said Ubisoft had confirmed an issue with how a temporary-ban timer was displayed. The report described converting the displayed hours or days into minutes as the way to interpret the accurate timing. The Siege.GG page was inaccessible when reviewed, so this is a summary of its reported account—not a directly verified Ubisoft statement. Read Siege.GG’s report.

The reported problem concerned the timer’s display. It is not evidence that Ubisoft changed the sanction itself. The available sources do not establish whether this historical issue is fixed today, which platforms or versions it affected, or whether the minutes conversion remains a current workaround.

How a temporary Siege ban differs from an account lock

Ubisoft’s support guidance says temporary in-game bans can follow certain actions, including Code of Conduct violations and disconnecting during a Ranked match. A Ranked disconnection may also bring a Renown or Rank penalty. Ubisoft distinguishes this Siege ban from a temporary lock on a Ubisoft account: during a game ban, players can still access other Ubisoft websites, games, and services. See Ubisoft’s temporary-ban guidance.

What to do if your ban timer looks wrong

  1. Record what the timer shows. Note the displayed hours or days and when you saw them; capture a screenshot if possible.
  2. Describe the expected behavior. Explain why the displayed timer seems inconsistent, rather than assuming the underlying ban duration has changed.
  3. Submit a bug report through Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege reporting path. Ubisoft’s reporting guidance asks players to identify where the bug appears and what they expected to happen. Open Ubisoft’s bug-reporting guidance.

The available sources do not verify the issue’s current status, so treat the historical conversion advice as context rather than a confirmed fix for a timer you see now.
