Rainbow Six Siege X was Ubisoft’s major evolution of Rainbow Six Siege, not a separately evidenced physical game release. Ubisoft said it launched on June 10, 2025, alongside Year 10 Season 2, Operation Daybreak. Its launch announcement covered platform access, the Dual Front mode exception, existing-player progression carry-over, and launch-era system specifications.
What is Rainbow Six Siege X?
Ubisoft described Siege X as a “major evolution” of Rainbow Six Siege. That wording is the publisher’s characterization. The launch announcement presented Siege X as an evolution of the existing game, not as a separate physical release. Ubisoft’s launch communications also highlighted modernization and an audio overhaul, but the launch source cited here does not establish detailed claims about individual map changes, specific audio behavior, or gameplay mechanics.
When did Siege X launch?
Ubisoft published its launch article on June 4, 2025, and announced that Siege X would launch on June 10, 2025, with Year 10 Season 2, Operation Daybreak. These dates and launch details are from Ubisoft’s R6 Siege X launch article.
What platforms was Siege X available on at launch?
Ubisoft listed PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Ubisoft+ as access routes in its June 4, 2025 launch article. That is a launch-era platform list, not confirmation of availability or service terms in October 2026.

Do existing Siege players keep their progress?
Ubisoft said players who had bought and played Rainbow Six Siege before the Siege X launch would keep their progression, inventory, and Operators. The same article announced Veteran Rewards. What PC specifications and console performance did Ubisoft publish?
Ubisoft published PC system requirements and console resolution and frame-rate targets in its June 4, 2025 launch article. Treat them as launch-era publisher specifications, not independent test results or a guarantee of later performance. Ubisoft’s minimum PC tier targeted 1080p at 60 FPS and listed 8 GB of RAM and 65 GB of SSD storage; the article also specified CPU and GPU requirements and gave multiple recommended PC tiers.
The article included console performance targets as well. Because these figures describe launch-era targets and can depend on platform and conditions, consult Ubisoft’s original specification tables for the exact CPU, GPU, recommended-tier, resolution, and frame-rate entries rather than treating a summary as a current hardware guarantee.

- Siege X marks the biggest evolution in its history, and deepens the game’s tactical core.
What the launch announcement does—and does not—establish
Ubisoft’s June 2025 announcement establishes how the publisher presented Siege X at launch: its date, listed access platforms, Dual Front’s last-generation console exclusion, progression carry-over, and published system and performance targets. By itself, it does not verify current availability, later modes or updates, present-day balance, or the game’s state in October 2026. Those details require newer official information.
