Ubisoft’s post-hack compensation was a limited-time offer, not an ongoing claim: players who logged in from January 16 through January 25, 2026, were eligible for four times Battle Pass XP, 10 Battle Pass levels, and missed daily rewards, according to GameSpot’s January 14 report. That window has passed. Ubisoft later said player inventories had been restored, but its Marketplace remained closed as of June 30. The available October service-status listing does not say whether voice chat is working.
What compensation did Ubisoft offer after the hack?
GameSpot reported on January 14, 2026, that Ubisoft announced a login-based compensation offer for Rainbow Six Siege players. Eligible players who logged in between January 16 and January 25 were to receive:
- Four times Battle Pass XP.
- 10 Battle Pass levels.
- Missed daily rewards, including a Delta Pack, an Alpha Pack, and an Auric Mold skin for the P-10C.
These rewards were tied to that specific January login window. It is not an open claim period, and the cited report does not establish a way to claim them now. The reward details come from GameSpot’s report of Ubisoft’s announcement.
What did Ubisoft say about player accounts and data?
In its February 2026 Year 11 player-protection update, Ubisoft said player inventories had been restored and its investigation was continuing. The Rainbow Six Siege team wrote: “there is no indication that players’ personal data or any source code was compromised.” That describes Ubisoft’s stated finding at the time; it should not be read as proof that every security question was conclusively resolved.

The same update described plans for additional security measures, including app-based two-factor authentication for key features such as Ranked play and the Marketplace. The February post outlined these as planned measures; it does not establish that all had been implemented by October.
Is the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace back?
No. In its June 30, 2026 “Marketplace & Economy: A New Direction” update, Ubisoft said the Marketplace would remain closed while it rebuilt safer foundations. The company said reopening without that work risked reviving security problems and disrupting the in-game economy.

Ubisoft cited account theft, botting, credit transfers, pricing instability, distorted item circulation, and wider economic imbalances. It also discussed prospective economy changes, including moving new event packs to R6 Credits beginning in Season 3; that is a separate economy change, not part of the January compensation offer.
Is Siege voice chat still disabled?
The January 14 GameSpot report said voice chat was still disabled at that time. Ubisoft’s service-status page showed an October 5, 2026 update and listed PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One as having no issues, but it did not report voice-chat status specifically. The platform listing therefore cannot confirm whether voice chat was working on October 8, 2026.

There is a separate chat-related announcement that should not be confused with this disruption: in April 2024, Ubisoft said it disabled voice-chat and written-chat penalties because they were being applied more often than expected. That concerned moderation penalties, not the availability of chat after the December 2025 cyberattack.

R6 Credits are digital in-game currency, not a physical product or a remedy for the incident. Ubisoft Help says players can purchase them through the in-game Shop or Ubisoft Store: Ubisoft Help’s guidance on Renown and R6 Credits.
