Yes. Rainbow Six Siege has documented LGBTQ+ representation among its playable operators, and Ubisoft has publicly described inclusion work and a past charity partnership supporting ILGA World. The clearest operator examples are Flores, Osa and Sens.
“Support” covers different things, however. In-game representation is not the same as a company policy, a charitable donation or every player’s experience online. The evidence supports a precise answer: Siege includes LGBTQ+ characters, Ubisoft has made stated inclusion commitments, and its Sixth Guardian charity bundle was a time-limited 2022 promotion rather than a permanent feature.

What “support” means in this question
A game can support LGBTQ+ people in several distinct ways. Treating them as one claim creates confusion, especially when a historical promotion is mistaken for a current offer.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Type of support | What is documented for Siege or Ubisoft | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| In-game representation | Ubisoft and Xbox Wire have identified Flores, Osa and Sens as LGBTQ+ operators. | It does not establish that every player encounters a welcoming or harassment-free community. |
| Development practice | The Siege team said representation matters and described an effort to make future LGBT operators feel like “honest, real people.” Osa’s development involved consultation with trans women. | A stated approach is not proof that every company decision or player interaction meets that standard. |
| Corporate inclusion | Ubisoft’s 2023 inclusion account described representation, workplace policies, training, internal LGBTQIA+ communities and inclusive work environments. | Those public commitments do not, by themselves, verify every workplace practice. |
| Charity activity | A 2022 Sixth Guardian bundle supported ILGA World under a defined donation structure. | The bundle was limited-time and should not be described as a current store item. |
On the narrow question “Are LGBTQ+ people represented in Siege?”, the answer is yes. On the broader question “Does Ubisoft always provide an inclusive experience?”, the available evidence is not a measurable guarantee.

The LGBTQ+ operators Ubisoft has identified
Xbox Wire’s 2023 Pride feature names three operators when describing LGBTQIA+ representation in the series. Their identities are part of the characters’ published portrayals, not a claim that a player must adopt any particular identity while using them.
| Operator | Documented identity | Significance described by the source |
|---|---|---|
| Flores | Gay | Identified as the series’ first gay operator. |
| Osa | Trans woman | Described as Siege’s first trans woman operator; Ubisoft Montreal also called her the first playable transgender character in Siege. |
| Sens | Non-binary | Identified as a non-binary operator, adding representation beyond the earlier examples. |
Flores
Flores is the first example in the series’ documented gay representation. His inclusion matters because it places a specific LGBTQ+ identity inside the core operator roster rather than limiting visibility to a temporary logo, event banner or external campaign. The source describes the character in terms of his identity; it does not claim that the game’s entire story is centered on sexuality or that a player receives a special gameplay advantage for selecting him.
Osa
Osa’s significance extends beyond the roster label. Ubisoft Montreal described her as Siege’s first playable transgender character. The development account says the team consulted trans women while creating her and cast trans actor Nicole Maines to voice the character. Consultation and casting do not make a fictional portrayal automatically perfect, but they are concrete steps toward informed representation and are stronger evidence than a generic corporate statement alone.

Sens
Sens provides the documented non-binary representation in the examples cited by Xbox Wire. That distinction is useful for readers who use “LGBT” as shorthand for a wide range of identities: the published examples are not all the same, and the roster includes representation outside a single category.
How Osa was developed
The Osa interview gives unusually specific information about process. Ubisoft Montreal said trans women were consulted during development, and Nicole Maines, a trans actor, provided Osa’s voice. Those details address two common questions: whether the identity was acknowledged deliberately and whether people with relevant lived experience had a role in shaping the character.

- Access to Ranked and Siege Cup is unlocked at level 50. Dual Front mode is not supported on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
The consultation claim should still be read at its stated scope. It describes the creation of Osa, not a blanket certification of every LGBTQ+ storyline, dialogue line or future operator. It also does not mean all trans players will interpret the character in the same way. What it establishes is that Ubisoft publicly described a consultation process and trans casting for this particular operator.
Simon Ducharme, the scriptwriter behind Osa, said at the time of the interview: “Since the beginning of Year 6 we’ve seen the addition of LGBTQ+ characters with Flores and Osa, and we’re not stopping there.” That was a statement about the direction of the project at that time, not a current guarantee about the roster or a promise that a specific future operator will appear.

What the Siege team says about representation
In the Year 6 Season 2 developer AMA, the Siege team answered a question about LGBTQ+ representation by saying: “Representation is incredibly important to us as a team. This year, in fact, the team has taken great strides to really level up how we are authentically representing our Operators, for example with the partnership of Nakoda consultants for the creation of Thunderbird. This is an approach we’ll be taking moving forward as well, to ensure the future LGBT operators we bring to the game feel like honest, real people.”
That response is valuable because it explains an intended standard rather than merely listing characters. The team connected representation with authenticity and consultation. It is still a statement of intent from an official AMA, not an independent audit. Readers should distinguish what the team says it values from evidence about every implementation.

Ubisoft’s wider LGBTQIA+ inclusion commitments
Ubisoft’s 2023 account of its LGBTQIA+ inclusion plan describes work outside the game itself. The areas listed include representation in games, workplace policies, training, internal LGBTQIA+ communities and work environments intended to be inclusive.
This broader plan explains why a question about Siege can have a company-level answer as well as a character-level answer. Representation in a game is a creative output; policies, training and employee communities concern how the publisher says it operates. They are related but not interchangeable. A public roadmap can show priorities and commitments without proving that every office, team or interaction produces the same result.
Nothing in the cited material establishes that Siege’s online environment is free from homophobic, transphobic or other harassment. Multiplayer moderation and individual player conduct can vary by platform, region, language and match. The existence of LGBTQ+ operators should not be presented as a guarantee about the behavior of other players.

| Term | What Ubisoft announced in 2022 |
|---|---|
| Recipient | ILGA World, an organization that Ubisoft described as representing more than 1,800 organizations in over 160 countries and territories. |
| Donation structure | 100% of net proceeds, with a minimum of $6 USD per bundle sold, was to go to the charity. |
| Availability | The promotion was limited-time and spanned two seasons. |
| Program context | Ubisoft said the Sixth Guardian program had raised more than $350,000 USD for charity since its 2020 launch. |
Those figures belong to Ubisoft’s 2022 announcement. They should not be read as current fundraising totals, a recurring donation rate or a standing store policy. The minimum donation applied to each bundle sold under that promotion, while “100% of net proceeds” describes the announced treatment of the bundle’s proceeds after the terms specified by Ubisoft.
The bundle was digital in-game content, not a physical product. The announcement’s limited-time language also means its existence is evidence of a past partnership, not proof that the same cosmetics can be purchased now. The cited material does not establish current store availability.

If you are deciding whether Siege aligns with your expectations for LGBTQ+ inclusion, separate the questions you can answer from the questions that require personal experience or current platform information.
- Character visibility: Yes. Ubisoft and Xbox Wire have publicly identified multiple LGBTQ+ operators, including a gay operator, a trans woman and a non-binary operator.
- Authenticity efforts: Ubisoft described consultation with trans women for Osa, trans voice casting for the role and a team goal of making future LGBT operators feel like real people.
- Company commitments: Ubisoft’s 2023 inclusion account lists game representation alongside policies, training, internal communities and workplace efforts.
- Charitable support: A defined 2022 Sixth Guardian promotion sent its announced net proceeds, subject to a minimum per bundle, to ILGA World.
- Current availability: The cited evidence does not confirm whether the Sixth Guardian cosmetics remain obtainable or whether a comparable promotion is active.
- Community experience: The cited evidence does not promise that every match, voice channel or text chat will be welcoming.
This framework prevents two opposite mistakes. It would be inaccurate to say Siege has no LGBTQ+ support when the roster and official development statements clearly document it. It would be equally inaccurate to treat those facts as proof that every aspect of Ubisoft’s business or every player interaction is inclusive.
What “yes” does—and does not—mean
The most defensible conclusion is specific. Rainbow Six Siege supports LGBTQ+ representation through documented operators: Flores, Osa and Sens. Ubisoft has also published development comments about authentic representation, described consultation and trans casting for Osa, and outlined a wider LGBTQIA+ inclusion plan. In 2022, it ran a limited Sixth Guardian charity promotion for ILGA World with 100% of net proceeds and a $6-per-bundle minimum donation under the announced terms.
Those facts answer the representation and documented-support parts of the question. They do not establish current charity-bundle availability, guarantee a harassment-free multiplayer environment or prove that every stated company policy is perfectly realized in practice. Keeping those boundaries clear gives a more accurate answer than either an unconditional endorsement or a claim that the game offers no LGBTQ+ support.
