Blizzard’s official descriptions do document a movement-speed slowdown while he is holding Block. If you mean ordinary movement without blocking, the reviewed materials do not give a numeric speed comparison between Omnic Form and Nemesis Form.
What the question actually involves
“Does Ramattra run faster?” can refer to three different situations:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Ramattra’s normal movement in Omnic Form.
- Ramattra’s normal movement after changing to Nemesis Form.
- Ramattra moving while using Block in Nemesis Form.
Those situations should not be treated as one mechanic. Form-changing affects Ramattra’s attacks and abilities, while Block is a separate defensive action that carries its own movement penalty. Blizzard’s published descriptions support the Block slowdown, but they do not establish a general speed bonus for the transformation itself.

Omnic Form and Nemesis Form change his kit, not a documented running statistic
Ramattra switches between two forms during a match. Omnic Form is his staff-based configuration, with abilities such as Void Accelerator and Void Barrier. Nemesis Form replaces that weapon and changes his attack pattern, including the large-range Pummel punches. The transformation is therefore a combat-state change rather than a published movement upgrade.

Blizzard’s current hero-page description lists the abilities associated with each form and the available Stadium Powers. It does not identify a passive movement-speed increase that activates when Nemesis Form begins. It also does not publish a number showing that Ramattra covers ground faster in one form than the other.
That omission matters. A player may feel that Nemesis Form is faster because the model is larger, the punches have more reach, or the form is used when closing distance. None of those impressions supplies a measured run-speed value. Without an official statistic or a controlled test, “Nemesis Form is faster” is not an established fact.
Block is the movement penalty Blizzard explicitly documents
Block is Ramattra’s defensive action in Nemesis Form. Blizzard describes it as greatly reducing damage received from the front while making him move more slowly. The launch patch notes from December 2022 also described Block as reducing movement speed.
Tess Leiman, an Associate Game Designer on Ramattra, explained the design directly: “Block slows Ramattra’s movement speed, and it only applies to damage received from the front, leaving him vulnerable from behind.” The sentence identifies both parts of the mechanic: the slowdown applies while Block is active, and the protection is directional.

Block should therefore be read as a trade-off. You gain frontal damage reduction, but you give up normal mobility and remain exposed to attacks from the rear and other angles that the guard does not cover. Releasing Block removes that specific penalty; it does not imply that entering Nemesis Form supplied a separate speed boost.
What the official material establishes
| Situation | What is documented | What is not documented |
|---|---|---|
| Omnic Form, not blocking | Ramattra uses his Omnic Form attacks and abilities, including Void Accelerator and Void Barrier. | No official numeric movement-speed value is provided in the reviewed material. |
| Nemesis Form, not blocking | Ramattra uses Nemesis Form attacks, including Pummel. The launch notes described the form as changing his attacks and granting bonus armor. | No general run-speed increase or numerical comparison with Omnic Form is stated. |
| Nemesis Form while holding Block | Movement speed is reduced while Block is active; frontal damage is significantly reduced. | The reviewed sources do not provide a speed percentage or an exact units-per-second figure. |
| Stadium Power: Breakout | The current hero-page listing describes a situational dashing punch while blocking. | It is not described as a permanent or general running-speed bonus. |
The December 2022 patch notes are launch-era documentation. They are useful for explaining how Block was presented when Ramattra released, while the current hero page is the better reference for the abilities and Stadium Powers currently displayed. Neither source supplies the missing ordinary-run comparison.
Does Nemesis Form make Ramattra reach a fight faster?
Not according to a documented passive run-speed change. If Ramattra appears to arrive faster in a particular fight, several other factors may be responsible:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Starting position: A short route from cover can look like a speed advantage when the real difference is distance.
- Animation and reach: Pummel’s long-range punches can affect an opponent before Ramattra is close enough to use his Omnic weapon, creating the impression that he closed the gap faster.
- Timing the transformation: Players often activate Nemesis Form immediately before pushing, so the form and the advance happen together even though the published evidence does not connect them through a speed bonus.
- Blocking: Holding Block makes the advance slower, not faster. A Ramattra who alternates between walking and attacking may cover ground differently from one who maintains the guard.
For a rotation or retreat, treat Nemesis Form as a combat option rather than a movement stance. Choose it for the attacks, durability and pressure it provides, and account for the reduced pace whenever Block is held.

Breakout is a movement option, but not a run-speed increase
The current Stadium Power list includes Breakout, which enables a dashing punch while Ramattra is blocking. That can create a burst of positional movement during a specific action. It should not be described as Nemesis Form’s baseline running speed, because the power is conditional and tied to the dash-punch behavior.
This distinction is important when comparing clips or builds. A Ramattra equipped with Breakout may cross a short distance differently from one without it, but that result comes from the Stadium Power’s special action. It does not prove that every Ramattra runs faster in Nemesis Form, and it does not remove the ordinary Block slowdown described by Blizzard.
Why there is no reliable number to quote
The official sources reviewed for this question name the movement penalty attached to Block but do not name a baseline movement statistic for either form. They also do not state a percentage increase or decrease for ordinary running during the transformation.
That means a precise claim such as “Nemesis Form is X percent faster” would require evidence beyond those publications. It could come from controlled in-game measurement, a later patch note, or an authoritative technical data source, but none of those figures is established here. The accurate answer is consequently qualitative: Block slows Ramattra; a general form-based speed increase is not documented.

Patch changes are another reason to avoid treating an old community number as permanent. The launch notes describe the design at release, while live-game values can be adjusted. Unless a current Blizzard source gives a number and identifies the relevant patch, use the documented behavior rather than an uncited statistic.
How to test the behavior yourself without confusing the mechanics
If you want to observe the difference in your own version of the game, isolate one variable at a time. The goal is not to turn an informal test into an official statistic, but to prevent Block, abilities or a Stadium Power from being mistaken for a form bonus.
- Enter a practice environment with Ramattra and remove any optional power that changes his movement, if the mode allows that choice.
- Mark two fixed points on level ground and travel between them in Omnic Form without attacking, blocking or using another ability.
- Repeat the same route in Nemesis Form without holding Block. Start from the same point and use the same direction and camera handling.
- Run the route again while holding Block in Nemesis Form. Compare this result with the two non-blocking runs.
- Repeat several times in each state. Ignore runs affected by collisions, slopes, enemies, damage reactions or missed transformations.
- If Breakout is available, test it separately as a dash action. Do not combine its movement with the baseline runs.
A stopwatch and repeated trials can show how your current build behaves, but the result will depend on the game version, map surface, input timing and measurement method. It should not be presented as a universal official speed value.

Common misconceptions
“Nemesis Form is bigger, so it must move faster”
Visual scale does not establish movement speed. The published descriptions identify changes to attacks and defenses, not a proportional increase tied to Ramattra’s larger appearance.

“Block makes him tankier, so it must slow every Nemesis Form movement”
The documented penalty is attached to using Block. The sources do not describe a blanket Nemesis Form slowdown when Ramattra is simply walking or running without the guard.
“A dashing punch proves the form has a speed boost”
A dash is a distinct action. Breakout’s listed effect gives a situational dashing punch while blocking; it does not redefine the form’s normal run speed.
“Bonus armor means he can move faster while taking damage”
The launch notes described Nemesis Form as granting bonus armor, but armor and movement are separate mechanics. Durability does not provide evidence of a run-speed change.
Practical decision guide
- Advancing while attacking: Use Nemesis Form for its attack pattern and pressure. Do not assume the transformation itself shortens travel time.
- Protecting yourself from frontal fire: Block can reduce incoming frontal damage, but budget for the movement slowdown and watch for attacks from behind.
- Chasing a target: Release Block when you need normal movement, then reapply it when the defensive trade-off is worthwhile.
- Using a Stadium build: Treat Breakout as a conditional dash-punch tool. Evaluate its utility separately from ordinary running.
- Checking a guide or video: Look for the game version and whether the player was blocking or using a movement-altering power before accepting a speed claim.
The accurate answer in one sentence
Ramattra does not have a documented general run-speed increase when he enters Nemesis Form; the movement-speed reduction Blizzard explicitly describes occurs while he is using Block, and no official numeric comparison for ordinary running between the two forms is provided.
