What the PC reviews say—and the caveat
The inspected PC critic-review page includes several positive reviews from July 2023 that praise the port and its technical performance. It also includes criticism of optimization for AMD GPUs. That is a reported launch-era review concern, not proof of how the game performs on current hardware or after later updates. If you are choosing the PC version, treat the excerpts as an initial signal and compare your own hardware with PlayStation’s published recommendations rather than assuming a particular frame rate.
Is Rift Apart a standalone game?
Yes. PlayStation calls Rift Apart a single-player, standalone adventure, and its official FAQ says newcomers can start here. Longtime fans may recognize deeper connections to earlier games, but prior series knowledge is not presented as a requirement. The story centers on Ratchet and Clank and brings Rivet into the adventure as a playable character.

These are the publisher’s stated targets and hardware recommendations, not results from an independent test. For the PS5 version, choose it if you prefer a console setup and want the DualSense effects without matching PC components to a target.

The PlayStation Store’s US listing shows a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes five armor sets, a Photo Mode sticker pack, 20 Raritanium, a digital soundtrack and a digital art book. The US Store listing also labels the game PS5 Pro Enhanced and one player.

Who should play Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?
