When did the REDMAGIC 9 Pro+ Bumblebee Edition launch?
The China launch was reported on March 29, 2024, by GSMArena. Nubia had released the broader REDMAGIC 9 Pro series in December 2023, according to its series announcement; that earlier date is not the Bumblebee edition’s launch date.
How much did the Bumblebee edition cost?
GSMArena reported a China launch price of CNY 6,499 in March 2024 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model. This is the reported launch price, not a current price or confirmation that the phone remains available to buy.
What is different about the Bumblebee edition?
The edition gives the REDMAGIC 9 Pro+ a black-and-yellow Bumblebee treatment, with a carbon-fiber texture and Bumblebee branding. Its software is also described as Bumblebee-themed. GSMArena’s launch report says the phone otherwise has the same specifications as the standard REDMAGIC 9 Pro+; it does not identify a separate hardware upgrade for this edition.

Was the Bumblebee edition sold outside China?
The launch coverage reported that official sales outside China were unlikely. That was an expectation reported at launch, not proof of the model’s present international status. Nubia’s REDMAGIC parameter comparison currently includes a Transformers Bumblebee model label, but a listing on a comparison page does not confirm stock, a purchase option, or official sales in any particular country.
