The Regalia of Eochaid is a straight sword in Elden Ring. You can find it on a beachside ledge east of the Third Church of Marika, where Caelid meets Limgrave. Its skill, Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, sends the sword spinning forward; the weapon requires 12 Strength, 18 Dexterity, and 15 Arcane.
Where do you get the Regalia of Eochaid?
The sword is on a ledge along the beach at the Caelid–Limgrave border, east of the Third Church of Marika. The more reliable route is through Gaol Cave; an alternative is to climb the cliff with a series of difficult jumps on Torrent. Route through Gaol Cave
- Travel to Gaol Cave in western Caelid and make your way through it.
- After leaving the cave, follow the route toward the beach ledge on the Caelid–Limgrave border.
- Search the ledge east of the Third Church of Marika for the item.
Cliff-jump alternative
You can attempt to reach the ledge by using Torrent to jump up the cliff, but the traversal is tricky. Use the cave route if you want the less demanding approach.

What does Eochaid’s Dancing Blade do?
The weapon’s unique skill, Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, infuses the sword with energy and flings it forward in a corkscrew attack. It deals damage as it spins, and charging the skill increases the attack’s reach and duration. The item reference lists no option to replace the skill or change the weapon’s affinity.

How do you upgrade the Regalia of Eochaid?
It upgrades with Somber Smithing Stones. Because its skill and affinity cannot be changed, upgrading it does not let you swap in another weapon skill or choose a different affinity.

The sword’s in-game description calls it the “Treasured sword of Eochaid, a lesser, long-vanished domain.” It explains that the sword’s copper color is not rust, but a conduit through which its wielder can move it by will alone, and says that Eochaid’s swords “dance through the skies.” The full item wording is preserved in Eldenpedia’s weapon entry.
