Où consulter gratuitement les règles de base de D&D 5e ?
Les Basic Rules 2014 de D&D Beyond sont disponibles gratuitement dans le compendium officiel. La page couvre la création et les options de personnage, l’équipement, les règles de jeu, les appendices ainsi que des règles destinées au maître du jeu.
La disponibilité indiquée établit un accès au compendium en ligne. Elle ne confirme pas qu’un PDF téléchargeable rassemble l’ensemble de ces règles. Il est donc plus exact de parler de règles consultables gratuitement que de promettre un téléchargement des règles complètes.
Choisir entre les règles 2014 et les règles révisées
« D&D 5e » peut désigner deux versions des règles gratuites. D&D Beyond maintient les Basic Rules de 2014 et propose aussi les règles gratuites révisées, publiées à l’origine sous le nom « 2024 D&D Free Rules ». Dans une clarification datée du 2 mars 2026, la plateforme étiquette les règles 2014 comme 5e et les règles révisées comme 5.5e; l’éditeur indique que les deux versions restent prises en charge et compatibles. Le SRD français est-il le PDF des règles de base ?
Non : ne confondez pas un fichier SRD avec un livre de règles de base complet. Le SRD v5.2.1 est une référence pour les personnes qui créent du contenu compatible avec D&D. Son téléchargement français répond à une demande de document téléchargeable, mais sa finalité et son périmètre diffèrent des Basic Rules présentées pour apprendre et jouer. La page officielle distingue expressément le SRD des règles gratuites destinées aux joueurs.
Ce qu’il faut pour commencer une partie
La consultation des règles ne nécessite aucun accessoire. Pour jouer, D&D utilise des dés polyédriques, dont le d20 sert notamment aux jets de résolution. Un jeu de dés comprenant un d20 peut donc être utile, mais reste facultatif pour lire ou télécharger les ressources. (Introduction aux Basic Rules 2014)
