Yes. Rematch supports cross-platform invitations and play between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Use the game’s in-game social or invite controls and follow the prompts in your version; Sloclap confirms cross-platform invites but does not publish a current, button-by-button invitation guide.
Which platforms can play Rematch together?
Sloclap lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series as supported platforms. Its September 5, 2025 developer update explicitly describes crossplay as including “cross-platform social features (inviting and playing with friends from other platforms),” not just matchmaking with strangers. That means a PC player can play with friends on PS5 or Xbox Series, and console players can join friends on the other listed platforms. Rematch’s official FAQ lists the platforms; the developer update explains cross-platform invites.

PC players do not need Steam specifically
The FAQ says PC players can access Rematch through Steam or the Xbox App; creating a Steam account is not mandatory if you use the Xbox App. Check which platform or store version each PC friend is using when coordinating, then use Rematch’s in-game social or invite controls.
How to invite a friend
- Confirm everyone is playing on a supported platform: PC, PS5, or Xbox Series.
- Use Rematch’s in-game social or invite controls: follow the prompts shown in your current game version to invite or join your friend.
- Check the crossplay setting if you cannot connect: crossplay can be toggled. Sloclap encouraged players to leave it enabled to help keep matchmaking queues faster. Its official update does not specify where the setting is, so follow the labels in your build rather than relying on an assumed menu path.
Sloclap’s official information confirms the cross-platform invitation feature, but does not document the current button sequence or say which account name or identifier friends must exchange. The exact interface may depend on the current game version.

What crossplay does—and does not—confirm
Cross-platform play is not cross-platform progression
In its September 5, 2025 update, Sloclap said it had no plans for cross-platform progression at that time, meaning progress on one platform would not carry over to another. That is a dated statement, not confirmation of the status of every later update.
Private or custom matches are not established by the official guidance
The official sources confirm inviting and playing with friends across platforms, but do not confirm whether private or custom lobbies are available or explain how to create one. Do not assume that an invitation feature guarantees a private match; check the current in-game options or official patch notes for that specific mode.

Can you play Rematch with friends offline?
Rematch is primarily an online multiplayer game. Its FAQ identifies Practice Mode and Free Play as offline options, but does not establish offline matches with friends. For cross-platform friend play, use the online social or invite controls.

- Make sure crossplay is enabled if you are trying to play across platforms; the setting is a toggle, though the official update does not give its menu location.
- Check that everyone is on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series and using the current game version.
- If you are experiencing lag, Sloclap’s FAQ suggests trying a wired Ethernet connection, closing streaming or download services, and disabling a VPN. Ethernet is a troubleshooting suggestion, not a requirement for inviting friends.
Rematch is a 5v5, third-person football game, so friend invitations are for online team play rather than an offline co-op mode. The PlayStation listing also describes ping communication for marking information to teammates without voice or text entry. See the official PlayStation game listing.
