When was the REMATCH open beta?
Insider Gaming reported on May 6, 2025, that Sloclap had announced the open beta for May 28–30, with the test expected to run for 48 hours. Those dates have passed, so this is a historical schedule rather than an upcoming opportunity. The report attributed the announcement to Sloclap’s official Discord; the underlying Discord post was not independently available to verify.
Which platforms were included?
The report listed PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC. It also said Steam owners could not participate, so “PC” did not mean every PC version. The report did not specify which PC distribution version or versions were eligible beyond that Steam exclusion.
Did the beta support crossplay?
No. According to the May 6 report, crossplay was not enabled for the beta. It said Sloclap was prioritizing crossplay for the full release or shortly after launch; that was an expectation reported at the time, not confirmation of the game’s current crossplay status.

How was the May 9 technical test different?
The same report described a separate, limited console technical test scheduled for May 9, 2025. It covered PS5, Xbox Series, and PC Game Pass versions. Invitations were sent separately, with earlier newsletter subscribers reportedly prioritized. This was not the open beta: access was limited and invitation-based.

Insider Gaming reported that the full game was expected to release on June 19, 2025. Sloclap’s studio page now describes REMATCH as a 2025 release and says it launched on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. Sloclap characterizes it as competitive 5v5 multiplayer football. The page also reports more than 6 million unique players within three months, without stating the publication year for that figure.
