Renoir’s Drafts is an optional underwater area in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Reach it by diving with Esquie from The Continent; inside, the main route leads past a Golden Tree rest point to a portal into The Abyss. The area also has a side-path music record, optional encounters, and equipment pickups.
How to get to Renoir’s Drafts
You need Esquie’s diving ability to enter. Game8 says to reach Relationship Level 6 with Esquie to unlock it; the community wiki places the ability normally in Act III and notes that it can be available earlier in New Game+. These are guide descriptions rather than official game documentation, and requirements may be affected by updates.
Once you can dive, search the waters around the northern part of The Continent. Guides give slightly different compass descriptions, but place the entrance broadly near the waters between Visages and Sirène, beneath the Monolith, and around the area southeast of Visages. From the entrance to the Golden Tree
Start at the entrance rest point and follow the main route through the area. The path reaches the Golden Tree, which serves as another rest point and a useful landmark before continuing onward.

Continue to The Abyss
From the Golden Tree area, follow the route to the portal leading to The Abyss. Renoir’s Drafts is optional, so entering it is not required simply to travel through the main story route. GameFAQs presents the area as an optional Act III dungeon and describes this entrance-to-portal progression in its PS5 walkthrough.
How to get the Endless Light music record
The Endless Light music record is on a side route near the entrance, not on the direct path through the area. From the first rest point, look for a route accessible by grappling and follow it to the collectible inside a statue’s or mask’s mouth. Optional boss, NPCs, and equipment
Game8 documents the optional Chromatic Creation encounter, which rewards a Perfect Chroma Catalyst, as well as weapon and Picto pickups. It also names Grour and the Fading Man as NPCs in the area. Because guides may count different item categories—or include nearby content such as The Abyss—there is no single definitive total here. If you are clearing everything, follow one current checklist from start to finish and check its stated area scope rather than combining totals from different guides.
