Reported footage of a surfaced Call of Duty: Black Ops II pre-alpha build has renewed claims that a cancelled fifth Zombies DLC was planned to include Kino der Toten. A community-maintained cut-content page lists Kino among the alleged maps, but the available material does not independently authenticate the specific Kino footage or establish an official Treyarch or Activision confirmation.
What the Black Ops II footage report says
On December 23, 2024, Techopse reported that a Black Ops II pre-alpha build had surfaced online and that Riley541 uploaded gameplay footage featuring a scrapped fifth DLC. The article also quoted a social post dated December 19, 2024, announcing the build. This records what the outlet reported and when; it does not establish the build’s chain of custody or prove that every clip attributed to it is authentic. Techopse’s December 23, 2024 report

Why Kino der Toten is associated with the alleged DLC
The community-maintained Call of Duty Wiki page on Black Ops II cut content lists Kino der Toten in a section about cancelled DLC 5 and links to a video showcase described as featuring cancelled maps and an early Origins build. That is the basis for connecting Kino to the alleged pack in the material reviewed here. The page is a community reference, not primary authentication of the footage.
What is—and is not—verified
The sources support saying that a report described footage from a surfaced pre-alpha build and that a community page lists Kino among the alleged DLC 5 maps. They do not establish that the specific Kino clip is genuine, that Kino was complete or playable in the build, or that Treyarch or Activision officially confirmed the package. No verified build artifact, file metadata, or official statement establishing the footage’s provenance appears in the cited material.

- Disc only. Original case and manual not included. Will come packaged in a generic case.
- This renewed game has been cleaned, tested, and shows minimal wear.
The Techopse report describes an alpha version of Origins with missing textures, placeholders, and differences from the released game. Those details concern the pre-alpha material generally; they do not authenticate the Kino footage.
How the alleged DLC differs from Zombies Chronicles
Techopse describes the reported DLC as a plan to bring back maps from World at War and Black Ops, and compares that idea with Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s released Zombies Chronicles. A shared returning-map concept is not proof that the cancelled pack had the same lineup, that it directly led to Zombies Chronicles, or that the alleged Kino content reached a finished state. One is a reported cancelled plan; the other is released game content.

Is the reason for cancellation known?
No official cancellation explanation is established by the cited material. Techopse speculates that the pack may have been cancelled to avoid competing with Call of Duty: Ghosts, while community compilations make additional claims about its development and cancellation. These remain speculation or community reporting, not a documented official reason. FPSHUB’s community compilation and a Plutonium forum discussion provide further community context, not official confirmation.
