Is Spencer Mansion confirmed for the Requiem DLC?
No. Capcom has confirmed additional content for Resident Evil Requiem, but its announcement does not identify the add-on’s setting, cast, or plot. Spencer Mansion is therefore a possibility to discuss, not a confirmed destination.

Director Koshi Nakanishi said in March 2026 that Capcom was working on extra story content intended to explore the world of Requiem more deeply, and asked players to be patient. His statement gives no setting or release date. PC Gamer’s report of Nakanishi’s announcement likewise does not identify Spencer Mansion.

Capcom’s 2025 integrated report describes Requiem as a Raccoon City-set story about a new character uncovering the truth behind the Raccoon City Incident. It also describes combat, exploration, puzzle solving, and first- and third-person perspectives. That is information about the base game, not confirmation of where the add-on takes place.

Why fans connect Requiem, Spencer Mansion, and the remake track
There is a genuine franchise-wide connection, but it does not answer the DLC-setting question. Executive producer Jun Takeuchi described the series as running on two tracks: numbered games that advance its ongoing story and remakes that revisit the past. In remarks from the BIOHAZARD 30th Special Mook reported by PC Gamer, Takeuchi said references to Umbrella and Spencer, along with Raccoon City’s return in Requiem, were preparation for a “crossover.”
That points to a broader connective plan across the franchise. It does not establish that the Requiem add-on visits Spencer Mansion, that Resident Evil Veronica uses that location, or that the two releases tell overlapping stories. Those are separate claims, and the announcements do not confirm them.

Producer Masato Kumazawa also described Requiem as returning to an overarching narrative rooted in Raccoon City and Umbrella in a PlayStation Blog interview. This helps explain why older Umbrella and Spencer references matter to the series’ direction; it is not a promise of a particular DLC location.
Will Resident Evil Veronica spoil the DLC’s novelty?
There is no confirmed basis to say that it will. Capcom has announced a 2027 window for Resident Evil Veronica, but no exact date. The DLC has no announced release date either, and its setting is unknown. Without those details, a direct release clash, shared mansion setting, or narrative overlap cannot be established.

The games are also distinct projects: one is additional story content for Requiem, while the other is a remake of a 2000 game. A franchise-wide crossover plan may connect their larger storylines, but it does not mean one will duplicate the other’s locations or diminish its impact.
