There is no verified, definitive ranking of the 14 best Resident Evil Requiem mods. The useful way to choose is by what you want to change: start with REFramework for tools and compatibility, then consider inventory tweaks, camera options, visual changes, gameplay adjustments or novelty mods. The examples below reflect mod categories and entries described by Nexus Mods, GameSpot and PCGamesN—not a hands-on ranking. Check each mod’s current page before downloading; requirements and compatibility can change with game updates.
How to choose a Requiem mod
“Best” depends on the experience you want, and a mod’s popularity is not proof of quality or compatibility. Nexus Mods’ live top list changes as files are added, updated and endorsed. The editorial lists from GameSpot and PCGamesN offer additional examples, but they are not a single agreed-upon set of 14. Use the categories below to narrow your choice, then verify the individual mod page.
- For a foundation: look at REFramework, which provides scripting and game tools and is required by a number of mods.
- For convenience: consider stack-size or inventory changes.
- For control or challenge: camera tools and adjustable parry changes alter how you play without necessarily removing all difficulty.
- For a different look or a lighter run: visual, character, cheat and novelty mods are options, but their effects and prerequisites vary.
14 mod examples to explore
This is a category-based shortlist drawn from the named sources, not a claim that these are the only or objectively best 14 files. Some sources describe a category or feature rather than establishing a single current download with a verified version. Follow the linked source pages to locate the relevant entry and read its current requirements, update date and author notes.
1. REFramework
A practical starting point for players interested in scripting-based tools and mods that depend on the framework. Nexus describes features including ultrawide support, FreeCam, timescale and field-of-view tools; GameSpot and PCGamesN also describe it as a foundation used by other mods. It is not itself a guarantee that every dependent mod works with the current game patch. See the Nexus Mods Requiem listing and check the individual framework page for current files and instructions.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon Exclusive - 2 sided poster included in every game!
- Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who is introverted and easily scared, representing a new type of character for the Resident Evil series. Grace will experience horror from the same perspective as the player as she learns to overcome her fears throughout the course of the story.
- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
2. REQUIEM ULTIMATE TRAINER
A trainer is for players who want more direct control over gameplay rather than a standard difficulty curve. The Nexus top listing includes this entry, but its live list alone does not establish the current feature set or compatibility. Check the mod page carefully before enabling any options.
3. _ScriptCore
This is another framework-style entry visible in Nexus Mods’ top listing. Whether it is useful depends on the specific mod you plan to use; read that mod’s requirements to determine if it is needed, and do not assume it replaces REFramework.
4. Max Stack Sizes
GameSpot describes this type of mod as increasing inventory stack sizes. It suits players who want less inventory friction, but it changes resource management and may affect the intended pressure of the game. Confirm the current file’s requirements and compatibility before installing.
5. Infinite Ammo and HP
GameSpot lists this as a cheat option for players who want a low-pressure run or wish to experiment without ordinary survival constraints. It substantially changes the challenge, so it is not a general recommendation for a first, difficulty-focused playthrough. Check the current mod page for the exact effects and prerequisites.

6. Infinite CP Points
This entry appears in the Nexus top listing. It is aimed at players who want to alter progression or access tied to CP points. The listing does not establish a universal recommendation or current compatibility; verify the author’s description and update information on the live page.
7. Easy Parry
GameSpot describes Easy Parry as changing the parry window, with adjustability. It may suit players who want more forgiving timing while retaining some interaction with the mechanic. Check whether the current version exposes the adjustment you want and whether it requires a framework.
8. Camera and photo-mode tools
PCGamesN’s guide covers camera and photo-mode tools. These are a better fit for players focused on screenshots, exploration or framing than for those seeking a combat or progression change. The exact options and prerequisites depend on the individual file; REFramework is described as necessary for many selections in the guide.
9. No Film Grain
Both the Nexus listing and PCGamesN’s guide include a no-film-grain option. It changes presentation rather than gameplay, making it a straightforward category to consider if you prefer a cleaner image. Confirm that the file is compatible with your current game build and any other visual tools you use.

10. REFramework D2D With HDR Support
This framework-related entry appears in Nexus Mods’ top listing. It may interest players looking for a different display or overlay setup, but the title alone is not enough to establish supported hardware, configuration or compatibility. Read the current description and requirements before installing.
11. Independent Grace Hair Strands – NG
Nexus’ top listing includes this character-appearance entry. It is a cosmetic choice for players who want to change Grace’s hair presentation; it does not offer a gameplay advantage. Check the file page for prerequisites, installation notes and conflicts with other appearance changes.
12. Grace outfit changes
Nexus Mods’ top listing also includes outfit changes for Grace. Treat these as alternatives to choose among rather than assuming they can all be used together. The author’s page should specify supported game versions and any conflicts.
13. Enemy and gameplay changes
PCGamesN covers mods that alter enemies or gameplay. This broad category can make a run harder, easier or simply different, so inspect the exact change before downloading; the category label does not establish a specific balance or compatibility profile.

14. Skip Intro and Chloe Orphanage
This novelty entry appears in Nexus Mods’ top listing. It may appeal to players looking to alter or bypass a particular sequence, but the live listing does not establish its current behavior or compatibility in every game version. Read the author’s current notes before use.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Install carefully and check compatibility
There is no single installation method that applies to every Requiem mod. The games.gg guide describes placing REFramework’s dinput8.dll in the game directory, launching the game to check that it loads, and using Fluffy Mod Manager to select the game and enable downloaded archives. Those are that guide’s instructions, not a universal or guaranteed current procedure. The mod author’s current instructions take precedence.
- Read the mod’s current page. Confirm its update date, supported game version, required frameworks or managers, and any incompatibility notes.
- Install prerequisites first. If a mod requires REFramework or another component, follow that component’s own current setup instructions.
- Enable one change at a time. This makes it easier to identify a conflict or loading problem if the game stops behaving as expected.
- Launch and verify. Follow the author’s checks; do not assume a successful download means the mod loaded correctly.
- Recheck after game updates. A patch can affect compatibility, so revisit the mod page before assuming an older installation still works.
