The March 27, 2026 update for Resident Evil Requiem added photo mode and a set of gameplay, presentation, and technical fixes. To use it, pause the game at the moment you want to capture; Capcom says photo mode is available from the pause menu.
How do I access photo mode in Resident Evil Requiem?
Pause during gameplay and select photo mode from the pause menu. Capcom’s Steam update notice describes the feature as accessible from that menu.

Capcom announced the March 27 update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and the Epic Games Store. The feature arrived as a game update, not as a separately identified product. Capcom lists physical editions of the game for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Was this the latest Resident Evil Requiem update?
No. The official Steam news feed records later updates: a free May 2026 update added the Leon Must Die Forever minigame, which unlocks after the story is completed and has multiple difficulty levels; that update also lists additions and fixes for DualSense adaptive triggers, vibration, and motion-sensor functions. A June 24, 2026 update then made minor fixes and adjusted minigame difficulty and skills. Capcom USA’s listing for the new mode is dated May 8, 2026: Resident Evil Requiem Receives Brand New Game Mode in Free Update!
