This walkthrough is for RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ Restless Ghosts side quest—not Old School RuneScape’s separate quest, The Restless Ghost. Start at the Crumbling Well in Bramblemead, collect the Ghostspeak Amulet, speak to four spirits after dark, then remember them at the shrine beside the starting church.
1. Get the Ghostspeak Amulet at the Crumbling Well
Go to the ruined buildings in Bramblemead, northwest of the Wise Old Man. Interact with the Crumbling Well to collect the Ghostspeak Amulet; it is placed in the quest-item tab. Speaking with a spirit advances the quest. The player objective is described as “search for a purpose for the Amulet of Ghostspeak.” PC Gamer’s walkthrough uses that objective wording, while Mobalytics’ Dragonwilds 1.0 guide was updated September 15, 2026.
2. Find the four spirits after dark
All four spirits appear only at night. You can speak to them across multiple nights, so you do not have to complete every conversation in one cycle. Their locations are described by nearby landmarks rather than coordinates:
- Warren: In a ruined house in the village near the Crumbling Well.
- Lazina: By a broken house near the Temple Woods windmill.
- Finn: In a cave in Bramblemead. Reaching him is the route’s main obstacle; see the next section.
- Kay: In a ruined house on the southern edge of Whispering Swamp.

3. Reach Finn’s cave
The standard approach described by the walkthroughs uses a logging axe and Woodcutting level 20 to clear the thorny vines, then Windstep to reach the cave ledge. Windstep unlocks at Agility 5 and uses Air Runes. Treat the Woodcutting level and axe as requirements for that standard vine-clearing route.
Use Windstep
Once the vines are cleared, use Windstep and Air Runes to cross the gap to Finn’s ledge. This route requires Agility 5 for the ability, as well as the runes.

Build a route across the gap
Mobalytics and Games.gg also describe building a traversable route across the gap as an alternative to Windstep. The guides do not establish whether building also lets you bypass the thorny vines, so do not assume it replaces the logging axe and Woodcutting requirement for clearing them.
The route details are from Mobalytics and Games.gg; neither establishes that one approach is always better.

4. Remember the spirits at the shrine
Finding all four spirits does not finish the quest. Return to Temple Woods and interact with the flower-filled vase beside the starting church. Choose the remembrance option for Warren, Lazina, Finn, and Kay.
If a spirit’s name is missing from the shrine options, return to that spirit and finish the conversation, then check the vase again. This completion step and recovery advice appear in Mobalytics and Games.gg.

Rewards and an inventory precaution
Completion awards the Restless Ghosts Reward Pack. PC Gamer’s April 23, 2025 walkthrough lists one each of Tome of Cooking Vol 1, Tome of Mining Vol 1, Tome of Woodcutting Vol 1, and Tome of Artisan Vol 1. Mobalytics’ newer guide confirms the reward pack and XP tomes but does not enumerate the contents in the reviewed passage, so treat that exact item list as version-sensitive.
Games.gg reports that a full inventory may prevent reward delivery at the shrine and advises leaving four slots free. This is a reported precaution, not a confirmed current bug; keeping space available may help avoid a delivery problem.

This walkthrough covers Restless Ghosts in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Old School RuneScape has a different quest titled The Restless Ghost, with different characters, steps, and rewards. OSRS Toolkit’s quest page identifies that separate quest; do not use its instructions for Dragonwilds.
